If Vivek Oberoi is Sher, Salman Khan is Sher Khan!

Vivek Oberoi put his foot in the mouth once again a few days ago, when he commented, “Sher is bigger than Tiger”. Obviously, he was referring to his film Sher in comparison with Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger.

Followed rumours that Salman, who has a long-standing hate-hate relationship with Vivek (courtesy their war regarding Aishwarya Rai a few years ago), had got the latter ousted from Sher; which also stars his good friend and Bigg Boss mate Sanjay Dutt.

But nothing of that sort happened and Vivek stayed put in Sher and even tweeted that he began shooting for it this week.

To battle it out, a seemingly subdued Salman Khan is now said to be reviving his project Sher Khan with brother Sohail Khan at the helm of directorial affairs, to give a karara jawab (fitting reply) to bete-noire Vivek. It is learnt that for the first time, Salman Khan will be playing a superhero whose special powers rest in his shoulder-length tresses. Uh-oh!

When we quizzed Bollywood PR guru Dale Bhagwagar about the Salman-Vivek war-of-words, he said, “There is no comparison between Salman and Vivek. Both have their own places.”

“Since time immemorial, spice and sensationalism have ruled Bollywood. But such gossipy friction only goes to up the equity of actors and keeps them in hot news and in public eye. One has to take it with a pinch of salt,” he added.

Coincidently, Dale is the same publicist, who, in a year-long stint with Vivek, beautifully engineered a perception turnaround for Brand Vivek Oberoi when the actor was said to be down-and-out some two years ago.

But strangely, after that Vivek changed his publicist and ultimately went back to drawing battle lines with Salman once again. Now let’s see if Salman’s dreadlocks can outsmart the bouncy Vivek Oberoi this time round.

Government should stop loot by airlines

Mumbai. The government should stop the loot of passengers by airline companies says Manmohan Gupta, the president of Gandhi Vichar Manch in Malad(W),Mumbai.

If you purchase ticket from internet, you get a PNR number on mobile, which you have to show at airport to get a ticket. But now Airlines Company started to take a Rs.50/- for ticket at airport. The printing of the ticket is charged at Rs 50, which is ridiculous says Mr. Gupta.

If you book ticket 2 months in advance, you can purchase the ticket for Rs 1000 – 2000. But if you purchase the ticket one or two days before, the tickets cost Rs. 5000 onwards. Why So? Ask Mr. Manmohan Gupta.

The cost of a return ticket on international destinations is cheaper than one way domestic ticket, he asserts. Government should control the national carriers. This is black marketing concludes Mr. Gupta.

RJ lucky from Oye! 104.8 FM Sabse Filmi crowned most stylish RJ in Delhi

12th June 2012, New Delhi: Popular RJ Lucky from Oye! 104.8 FM Sabse Filmi is now also Sabse Stylish in Delhi. RJ Lucky, won the title of the most stylish RJ in Delhi, in a popularity contest created by Big Bazaar. This promotion was created to crown the most stylish RJ across the cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bangalore.

The most stylish RJ’s across the cities were selected both through voting on the social networking site Facebook and through an on-ground performance. Maya Digital Studios continues with its high quality International work for Piranha 3DD

Movie to hit screens on June 15

Mumbai, 12 June 2012: Maya Digital studios, the company that pioneered the art & technology of animation & visual effects in India in the 1990s is now also focussing on the conversion of 2D content into Stereoscopic 3D.

Continuing with its legacy of high quality international work, Maya Digital Studios has handled the complicated and challenging task of padding up and enhancing the chills and thrills for the Hollywood movie Piranha 3DD. This much awaited movie is scheduled to hit the screens in India on June 15.

Piranha 3DD is a sequel to the original which released in 2010. Ever since, the franchise has built itself a huge fan base. With all the cutting edge technology at its disposal Maya Digital Studios have taken this movie to a whole new level. The visual effects promise to make this an edge of the seat experience for the audience.

The film has been shot in 3D stereoscopic format and hence matching the left & right eye was a key challenge for team Maya. Doing 2D to stereoscopic 3D conversion for an underwater film was a humongous task, given the fact that a lot of these shots also required painting out creatures and reflections, or adding other objects like modelled log in one of the key sequences. Maya also added blood and bubbles to many shots, to indicate the injuries & respiration underwater where in the fish continued to injure the people in the film.

Piranha 3DD promises to enthral the audiences giving them something they have never before seen on screen.

Piranha 3DD is a horror-comedy film directed by John Gulager from a screenplay by Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton and will showcase all the visual effects magic that Maya Digital Studios can conjure up on the screen.
