SAB TV’s most loved family series ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ is receiving a tremendous reponse from its audience for the third season of ‘Gokuldham Premier League’ (GPL). The cricket tournament has created such a frenzy among the viewers in the country that the entire cast received overwhelming appreciation and love during their tour around India. The cast was surrounded by their fans from all over the country where ever they went.


The visitors of the Akshardham temple in Gandhinagar were in for a surprise when Daya and Jetha (played by Dilip Joshi and Disha Vakani) dropped in to pay their respects. The duo also created quite an uproar with their visit to India Gate attracting Delhi-ites and tourists alike!


Similarly, the cast of the show also witnessed a barrage of fans at every press meet. Even the hotel guests, staff and family of media made their way to meet the cast in each of the cities. Tanuj Mahashabde and Babita (Krishnan Subramaniam Iyer and Munmun Dutta) enjoyed the astounding support they received in Lucknow. In fact, Munmun’s presence in the hotel attracted so many people that guests attending a wedding in the same venue also gatecrashed the press conference.


The cast continued their journey to different parts of the country. While Shailesh Lodha and Tanmay Vekaria (Taarak Mehta and Bagaa) were mobbed by a massive crowd in Jaipur, the Bhide family (Mandar Chandwadkar, Sonalika Joshi) were greeted by their admirers in Nagpur.


Gurucharan Singh who plays the fun-loving Roshan Singh Sodhi and Dilkhush Reporter who portrays the role of Roshan Kaur Sodhi, savoured every moment with their fans in Chandigarh. Gurucharan Singh even had long endless conversations with the media in Punjabi.


While the others were busy interacting with fans across the country, television’s most loved bachha party – Tapu Sena engaged in a cricket match with the media in Mumbai.

GPL 3 has enticed its viewers to such an extent that its fan following comes from people of all ages and from all walks of life. In fact recently Mandar Chandwadkar (who plays the character of Aatmaram Tukaram Bhide) revealed to us that, his dhobiwala actually sends Mandar his laundry bills in the name of ‘Aatmaram Bhide’!


The entire cast went to different pockets of the country and were humbled by the response from their fans. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has received the adultation of many and continues to be one of the most loved shows on television.
