The Raymond Shop showcases art for the discerning Indian male

A first-of-its-kind art exhibition at the Raymond flagship store brings works of 28 artists, two sculptors for customers

Mumbai, January 18, 2013: Raymond, one of India’s leading retail brands in the men’s apparel category with over 700 exclusive stores, hosted an art appreciation evening at its Warden Road flagship store. Renowned for its superior quality worsted suiting fabrics, stylish apparel and inimitable service, The Raymond Shop enhanced customer experience with a touch of luxurious lifestyle in this showcase of niche artistry.

This is a first-of-its kind initiative showcasing the magnificent works of over 25 artists under a single roof in a branded retail setting. It featured some prominent names in the industry including Yusuf Arakkal, Ajay De, Samir Mondal, Jaideep Mehrotra, V Solanki, Ram Chandran, Harsh Wardhan, Sunil Paudwal, Sanjay Kumar, Nayanaa Kanodia, Datta Bansode and Gopal Adivrekar. What’s more, visitors at the store also got a glimpse of the fine artistry while distinguished artist Jagannath Paul presented a live demonstration of art for the visitors.

The Raymond Shop plans to initiate more such lifestyle events to deliver unparalleled shopping experience for its customers on the one hand, and establishing its retail outlet as a lifestyle destination.

The visual art exhibition was attended by some of the eminent personalities from the city including Suchitra Krishnamurti, Sameer Datani, Bharati Jaffery, Anuradha Patel, Umesh Pherwani, Pinkey Ahluwalia, Khurshed, Charan Sharma, Pratik Sharma amongst others. The art display will continue to remain open for visitors at The Raymond Shop on January 19 and 20 between 10.30 am to 8.30 pm.
