Crescendo Music, the pioneer in promoting Indian Pop and Rock music and providing the perfect platform for artistes to showcase their talent, has launched a unique album titled, “ROCK ON HINDUSTAN”.

Conceived, composed and produced by the young and talented Siddharth Kasyap, ROCK ON HINDUSTAN comprises six brilliant patriotic tracks featuring the voices of Roopkumar Rathod and Madhushree with lyrics by Azhar Hashim and Shakeel Azmi.

Though the songs are patriotic in nature, the album does not fall in the typical category of conventional patriotic songs released over the years.

Asked what was so special about ROCK ON HINDUSTAN, Siddharth explains that he would not like to use the word “special” as it may imply that songs written and composed by other writers and composers were not special. Every creative work is special to its creator be he a writer, composer or singer. Siddharth preferred to use “different” as a more appropriate word to describe his songs and music.

The lyrics depict the need of the hour bearing in mind the current situation and phase the country is passing through even after sixty five years of independence. He felt that today we were not faced with challenges from external forces. Our challenges lay within and these disruptive internal forces were capable of causing irreparable damage to the secular fabric of our country. ROCK ON HINDUSTAN addresses these internal fears through the medium of music. Besides Iqbal’s classic “Sare Jaha Se Acha”, Azhar Hashim’s , “Raamwala Hindustan”, Shakeel Azmi’s ,“ Aisa Jaha and Jago India” in ROCK ON HINDUSTAN will have the desired effect of unifying people to eradicate poverty and fight corruption.

Since time immemorial, music has played a crucial role in spreading awareness of social discord and bringing people together for change. A change for the better. “We Are The World”, Lennon’s “Imagine” and Bob Dylan’s “Blowing In The Wind” are a few examples of international songs that called for unity and change. Even our great leaders, Gandhji and Subash Chandra Bose often used songs as a means to motivate and unite people. Whether it was our national anthem, “Jana Gana Mana”, “Vande Mataram”, “Vaishnav Jan Toh”, or “Sare Jaha Se”, all had a major role in uniting Indians regardless of religion, cast or creed!

Referring to his compositions, arrangements and instrumentation, Siddharth believes this, in a sense, could be termed “special” as the entire album has been given a very contemporary sound which would appeal not only to the youth of India, but even to the older, more conservative listeners.

Some of the finest musicians, engineers and technicians have contributed to its production giving it a truly international outlook in sound and quality. Siddharth has brilliantly woven western and Indian instruments to produce this unique album. Special mention must be made about the use of three Indian instruments: the Sitar – a plucking instrument, the Shenai – a wind instrument and the Rawanhatta – a bowing instrument. Siddharth sums it up all with the phrase, “You got to hear it to believe it”.

With the release of ROCK ON HINDUSTAN by Crescendo Music, Siddharth’s long standing association with the company and friendship with its Managing Director Suresh Thomas has been revived. The two have plans to record and release several more such ‘rich in concept’ albums in the near future.

On its part, Crescendo has planned the launch of the album at a special release function where noted film producer and director Madhur Bhandarkar will preside as guest of honor. Other select invitees include members from the music and entertainment industry.

MoM Dishant Yagnik Claims Hat-trick, Sreesanth Smashes Boundaries

Jaipur, 23rd January 2013: Royals Management XI beat Authors XI by seven wickets in a friendly twenty20 match at KL Saini Cricket Ground, which was being organised as a part of the DSC Jaipur Literature Festival, at Mansarovar in Jaipur on Wednesday.

Captain of Royals Management XI S Sreesanth and Authors XI skipper Charlie Campbell went for toss on camels. Authors XI won the toss and opted to bat first. James Holland led his team with gutsy 38-run knock, hitting seven boundaries. He was well-supported by opener Sam Carter, who scored 36 runs with the help of six boundaries.

For Royals Management XI, Rajasthan Royals’s regular wicket-keeper Dishant Yagnik did a wonderful hat-trick and picked four wickets for just nine runs. From the other end, Ajit Chandela clinched two wickets.

RR team manager Sushil Tulaskar (1/10), CEO Raghu Iyer (1/15), pacer S Sreesanth (1/17) and Tehelka’s Editor-in-Chief Tarun Tejpal (1/22) took one wicket each and bundled-out Authors XI at 114 in 19.4 overs.

In the second innings, Royals Management XI chased down the target in just 9.5 overs. S Sreesanth steered the batting line-up with his inspiring 44 run-knock and smashed boundaries all over the ground. He hit four huge sixes and received an overwhelming applause from the large crowds that had gathered to watch the match.

Royals reached 50 in 3.3 overs and 100 in 7.3 overs. Opener Sushil Tulaskar played a steady knock of 46 runs and remained unbeaten to win the match by losing only three wickets.

Dishant Yagnik was adjudged Man-of-the-Match for his four-wicket haul and awarded an autographed bat and other exclusive Rajasthan Royals merchandise. VSM Maj. Gen. KJS Thind, GOC 61st Cavalry Suburbia, honoured all the players and handed over the trophies to both the teams.

Mumbai, January 23, 2013: Listeners in 35 Indian cities and along border towns in Pakistan have heard and loved Neelesh Misra’s storytelling through two seasons of India’s most innovative and awarded radio show, Yaadon Ka Idiot Box on 92.7 BIG FM. Now the stories will achieve immortality in the form of a series of books being launched on January 24, the opening day of the Jaipur Literature Festival, Asia’s biggest.

The first two volumes of ‘Neelesh Misra ka Yaad Sheher’, a multiple volume of books that compile the stories already aired on 92.7 BIG FM now get captured for the reading pleasure of millions. An added treat for the audiences at the fest, will be a live storytelling and song performance where Neelesh Misra will tell a story and sing songs written by him.

This is the first example of radio content being developed into a series of books in India. The books will be available at all major bookstores as well as internet book purchase sites.

Yaadon Ka Idiot Box with Neelesh Misra, the primetime show on which Neelesh tells stories every day from the imaginary city of Yaad Sheher, is India’s most awarded radio show, having most recently been honored for the most unique programming content at the Golden Mikes Awards. The Facebook page of the show, titled “Yaad Sheher with Neelesh Misra”, gets at least 5 million page views every month with the content being heard online in 20 countries.

Yaadon Ka Idiot Box with Neelesh Misra is produced by Neelesh’s company Content Project Pvt. Ltd. for Reliance Broadcast Network, the parent company of 92.7 BIG FM.

The book series is being published by the joint venture of Westland and Yatra Books. The Hindi version will be followed by a series of Yaad Sheher books in English. Each volume will have 20 to 25 stories. Westland-Yatra has acquired the rights for six volumes of the book.

MRS to conduct Champions League soccer in city

Mumbai Rush Soccer (MRS), the International partner of Rush Soccer, USA, announced ambitious plans to promote soccer at the grassroots level in 2013, among them the launch of the EPL Style franchise MRS Champions League involving 8 teams in the age group of Boys U-10, U-12, U-14, U-17 and Girld U-14 and U-17 from January 27 to March10, 2013.

This was announced by Tim Schulz, President & CEO, Rush Soccer, US at a press conference in the city on Wednesday along with Vinod Nalwade, Director Steadfast Football Club and Dennis Fernandes, Hon. CEO Mumbai Rush Soccer.

The MRS Champions League will be the culmination of three separate leagues to be conducted by Mumbai Rush Soccer, targeting children from different strata of life. The most talented players from these leagues will be short listed and picked to play in the Champions League over seven Sundays from January 27 to March 10.

The Champions League will not be about teams winning or losing, but the teams will be awarded points according to level of skills displayed by its players.

The first of the leagues was the MRS Archdiocesan School League, played from January 17 to 20. 500 Children from over 20 schools participated in the U-10, U12 & U-14 age categories. 130 players have been shortlisted from this league.

The MRS Municipal School League will be played from January 22, in which 160 children are expected to participate in the U-12 and U-14 age category.

This will be followed by the MRS Elite School League, targeting IB, ICSE, and CBSE schools. Teams from over16 schools are expected to participate in the U-10, U-12 and U-14 categories. The shortlisted players will undergo a camp from Jan 24 to 26 and Jan 27 to 29. Following these camps the most talented players will be picked to play in the NUMECH MRS Champions League.

The objective of MRS Champions League is to scout talented players from Mumbai and provide them with a platform to experiment and showcase their skill, as well as provide them with sufficient quality matches in a calendar year on par with international players of the same age.

Mumbai Rush Soccer (MRS) was launched in May 2012, in association with Steadfast Football Academy. The highlight of the tie up was to train Indian Coaches and offer promising players Scholarship to train free of cost in USA. Since then the MRS has trained 20 children, conducted camps for children in Goa, under Elvis Goes, USSF ‘A’ License coach and conducted coaches training programs in Goa, under Elvis Goes.

Besides launching the NUMECH MRS Champions League, Tim Schulz will conduct Certification course for the coaches, teaching the Rush Module to the coaches and children.

On the occasion of Republic Day Crescendo Music and Siddharth Kasyap comes together to Rock the Nation with their patriotic album “ROCK ON HINDUSTAN”

Crescendo Music, the pioneer in promoting Indian Pop and Rock music and providing the perfect platform for artistes to showcase their talent, has launched an unique album titled, “ROCK ON HINDUSTAN”.

Conceived, composed and produced by the young and talented Siddharth Kasyap, ROCK ON HINDUSTAN comprises six brilliant patriotic tracks featuring the voices of Roopkumar Rathod and Madhushree with lyrics by Azhar Hashim and Shakeel Azmi.

Though the songs are patriotic in nature, the album does not fall in the typical category of conventional patriotic songs released over the years.

Asked what was so special about ROCK ON HINDUSTAN, Siddharth explains that he would not like to use the word “special” as it may imply that songs written and composed by other writers and composers were not special. Every creative work is special to its creator be he a writer, composer or singer. Siddharth preferred to use “different” as a more appropriate word to describe his songs and music.

The lyrics depict the need of the hour bearing in mind the current situation and phase the country is passing through even after sixty five years of independence. He felt that today we were not faced with challenges from external forces. Our challenges lay within and these disruptive internal forces were capable of causing irreparable damage to the secular fabric of our country. ROCK ON HINDUSTAN addresses these internal fears through the medium of music. Since time immemorial, music has played a crucial role in spreading awareness of social discord and bringing people together for change. A change for the better.

International songs such as “We Are The World”, Lennon’s “Imagine” and Bob Dylan’s “Blowing In The Wind” are a few examples that called for change.

Referring to his compositions, arrangements and instrumentation, Siddharth believes this, in a sense, could be termed “special” as the entire album has been given a very contemporary sound which would appeal not only to the youth of India, but even to the older, more conservative listeners.

Some of the finest musicians, engineers and technicians have contributed to its production giving it a truly international outlook in sound and quality. Siddharth has brilliantly woven western and Indian instruments to produce this unique album. Special mention must be made about the use of three Indian instruments: the Sitar – a plucking instrument, the Shenai – a wind instrument and the Rawanhatta – a bowing instrument. Siddharth sums it up all with the phrase, “You got to hear it to believe it”.

With the release of ROCK ON HINDUSTAN by Crescendo Music, Siddharth’s long standing association with the company and friendship with its Managing Director Suresh Thomas has been revived. The two have plans to record and release several more such ‘rich in concept’ albums in the near future.

On its part Crescendo has planned the launch of the album at a special release function where noted film producer and director Madhur Bhandarkar will preside as guest of honor. Other select invitees include members from the music and entertainment industry.

With new technologies in music distribution and marketing, Crescendo and more so its visionary Managing Director Suresh Thomas, is leaving no stone unturned in promoting ROCK ON HINDUSTAN. Kailash Kher’s love for singing is world renowned but the man with charming voice is often seen charmed by sports especially cricket. After his performance in Dhaka during India-Bangladesh match he had decided to pen a song for Sachin as a dedication to Sachin’s 100th international century. Though the song is yet to be out but Kher got an opportunity to rendezvous with Sachin during the recent Kailasa’s concert held at Khar GymKhana. It was an indeed moment of pride for Kher as he met the man he admires.

During Kailash’s performance he was greeted by the humble Sachin on stage. Overwhelmed by Sachin joining Kher, Kher excitedly tweeted with a pic about this encounter with Sachin, the god of Indian cricket. Kher writes, “Last nite Sachin Tendulkar came on stage for Kailasa sharing his thoughts.” Though the exchange of words that took place between Sachin and Kher remains between the two yet the photo shows the pleasant meet the two had.

The biggest Shootout in Bollywood – Shootout at Wadala flags off with a blast

One of Bollywood’s biggest trailer launches of all time ,Balaji Motion Pictures unveiled the first look promo of their ambitious gangster entertainer, Shootout at Wadala,in a first-of-its-kind orchestrated launch which took place simultaneously across 5 cities in the country, touted to be Bollywood’s most expensive till date.

A live shootout scene played out in front of an unaware audience, wherein a petrol blast took place in a car kept as a prop in the cordoned area. Soon after a live gang-war with stuntmen entertained audiences leading to the entry of each of the stars of the film.
