Raajjo is all set to release on 15th November.

Laughs 18-year old Paras, ‘Well, you win some, you lose some. It is a dream debut no less to begin with a film which is unconventional yet so exciting and entertaining. When I stepped into the film, I knew that the shooting would clash with my exams in March. I had to make a choice and I made an obvious one.’

He did eventually take his exams last month, results of which are awaited. Meanwhile a month from now results of the other kind would be out, what with RAJJO all set for release.

‘With a superb co-star like Kangana, it turns out to be a really comfortable environment. It may sound cliche that she put me to ease but that’s a fact. For someone who has worked in so many diverse films, it was a great learning to observe how she made the camera her companion,’ he says.

CHECK OUT: Vishwas Patil – Kangana Ranaut has danced like never before in RAJJO

On the other hand first time director Vishwas Patil turned out to be a worthy mentor for him.

‘Vishwasji is someone who is as simple as a human being can get. Moreover he was extremely helpful as a senior on the sets who came with a definite vision of how RAJJO should look like,’ he adds, ‘Especially for my character, he guided me throughout to make it look as natural as it gets instead of being a caricature.’

Eighteen-year-old Paras Arora, who makes his debut in ‘Rajjo’, is excited about working in a team that comprises Kangana Ranaut, Prakash Raj, Mahesh Manjrekar, Jaya Prada, music director Uttam Singh and cinematographer Binod Pradhan.

“I was offered the film after the makers saw my television serial ‘Veer Shivaji’. While I couldn’t accept it initially as my show was on air, the film’s schedule got pushed ahead. That’s how I could sign up for it,” says Paras.

The youngster says that he particularly enjoyed working with his director Vishwas Patil. “Vishwasji was like a father to me on the sets. He guided me completely when working on the film, as did Kangana, who put me at ease on the set. Since my character in the film comes from a musical family, I also took harmonium lessons for over a month to get under the skin of my character,” he says.

The teenager even had to forego his standard XII boards when shooting for the film. “I learnt that my combination scenes with Kangana, Prakashji and Maheshji were scheduled around the same time. I had to make a choice. Like they say, kuch paane ke liye, kuch khona bhi padta hai. Now, I’m eagerly awaiting the results of my debut,” he eagerly says.
Rajjo, produced by Four Pillar Films, releases November 15.
