PRIYANKA CHOPRA JOINS THE CAST OF

YRF’s “GUNDAY”

Yash Raj Films is happy to announce that Priyanka Chopra has joined the cast of GUNDAY as the leading lady and will play a pivotal role in the film.

Director Ali Abbas Zafar will go on floor this December with his next YRF project, GUNDAY, after the very successful Mere Brother ki Dulhan. Produced by Aditya Chopra, the film stars Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor in the lead male roles.

Amidst the most turbulent times in the history of Kolkata, then Calcutta, from 1971 to1988, Bikram and Bala rose from being small time wagon breakers and coal thieves to becoming the biggest and most powerful black marketing mafia-men. A rare combination of vigour and wit, the two were inseparable & the city of Calcutta swore by their friendship. As their notoriety became the stuff of legends… the People of this sprawling city started calling these two carefree rebels… GUNDAY.

This is Priyanka’s second film and both Ranveer and Arjun’s third film with the banner and it is the first time that these three dynamic actors have come together.

Watch this space as the story unravels.

He had all the attributes and characteristics of a god but flaws like a human. Karna was born to a royal family and yet he led the life of a lower caste. But more than that, the story highlights how he overcame all the abuses and challenges life threw at him. All in all it is a story from which the reader can draw inspiration.

The Sixth Karna is a very popular brand both – Nationally and Internationally. The comic has a huge cult following which prodded the creators to present the comic via the digital platform.

Vedita Singh to do a Hollywood film

Mumbai, Oct 15, 2012: One always hears about Bollywood taking inspiration from the west, but have you ever heard Hollywood taking inspiration from Hollywood. Think again! Never? Well it seems that’s what exactly has happened with our model turned Bollywood actress Vedita Singh who debuted with a critically acclaimed film Bhindi Baazar Inc. Vedita recently has been offered a plump role in a Hollywood film for which they had a condition. The condition was that they wanted to see Vedita in an angel look & they gave Vedita a picture, which was of famous Hollywood actress Tilda Swilton from the film Constantine & asked her to get a photo shoot done with the same concept.

Next step Vedita quickly got a concept photo shoot done by none other than Haider Khan who has also worked with Salman Khan on his various shoots. The outcomes of the pictures were very impressive. So impressed were the Hollywood film studios that they have now confirmed Vedita of being the part of the ensemble cast.

“Vedita was waiting very patiently for the right project for over a year. In the mean time she had gone to US for a vacation where she met a few casting agents. Little did she know what future had in store for her that within a few months she got a call to act in a horror film from the production house which has been known to churn out some of the greatest horror flicks. Vedita will be soon flying to US,” says a friend close to Vedita.
