Philips India lights up Ganeshotsav celebrations at Lal Baug, Mumbai for third year in row – Philips India creates an ‘Arch & Shankh’ shaped structure with more than 11,000 LED lights – Philips India to enter Limca Book of Records for ‘Largest techno artistic LED lit structure’ 01 September 2014, Mumbai: Continuing with its tradition of lighting up the festivities everywhere, Philips Lighting India, has created a vibrant, all LED lit ‘Arch and Shankh’ structure on the occasion of Ganesh Ustav. This structure is placed at the Lal Baug pandaal from August 29th to September 7th, demonstrating and creating awareness about the benefits as well as aesthetic possibilities of LED lighting. With more than 11,000 coloured LED lamps, the structure is a dazzling affair at 24 feet height, 20 feet width, a depth of 10 feet; the biggest techno artistic LED lit structure in India. The unit is engineered with sound sensors, so that the shankh lights up everytime the devotees chant “Ganpati Bappa Morya”. Through this innovative structure, Philips will also be attempting to enter the Limca Book of Records for the category ‘Largest techno artistic LED lit structure’.
