New Delhi, October 9th, 2013 Wednesday – Moxx Music released brand new songs – Jamoora and Saaiyaan of famous Bollywood singer Tochi Raina. Sonakshi Sinha attempts some hardcore action in Eros International and NextGen Films’ R…Rajkumar

Audiences are in for a treat as Sonakshi Sinha turns daredevil in Prabhu Dheva’s R…Rajkumar, produced by Eros International and NextGen Films.

If sources are to be believed, the actress will have an out-an-out dhamakedar introduction in the action entertainer, which will see her attempt some hardcore stunts including beating up goons and smashing glass bottles .

Demand for road dividers near China creek at Ghodbunder road

Mumbai.People have demanded a divider on the sharp turn which is 500 meter meters away from China Creek toll post on Ghodbunder road. The streach causes accidents regularly and overturned tempos, trucks etc are regular features. Sanjeev Gupta, Mumbai Chief of Anti Terrorist Front has demanded a divider for the streach.

“What are corporators and ministers doing about it? Can’t they see the inconvenience faced by the people? When an accident happens and people die, their entire family gets effected. I request the local bodies and government to provide the dividers to save life,” said Sanjeev Gupta.

All roads lead to The North Bombay Sarbajanin Durga Puja

Its Durga Puja time…The Puja organized by The North Bombay Sarbajanin Durga Puja Charitable Trust, which has become synonymous with four days of unadulterated fun, food and family, is back for its 66th year. This annual offering in which the Mukerji family takes an active part, will take place this year at the Tulip Star Hotel premises, Juhu from 10th – 14th October, 2013.

Despite the starry presence and the huge footfalls, the best thing about this Durga Puja is that it still manages to have a personalised family feel to it. The members of the Trust and their friends can be seen performing the Puja rituals, participating in the entertainment programmes and serving Bhog to everyone who turns up. Merck India Unveils ‘Consumer and Lifestyle Inspirations 2014-15’

· Reveals upcoming colour trends for the Printing, Plastics and Coatings industries

Mumbai, October 07, 2013 – Colour is an element as important as design; however colour trends, though reflecting the spirit of times, could change frequently. For example, silver gaining popularity worldwide, thanks to the wave of high tech products.

One of the questions that perennially plague most manufacturers and product developers is determining the defining colour in the coming year. From a developer’s perspective, ‘colour sells; but the right colour sells better’ and thus they are in a constant search for the upcoming colour and trend preferences.

Every year it brings together experts and undertakes extensive research to predict colours that consumers will prefer in the coming years. It today unveiled the ‘Consumer and Lifestyle Inspirations 2014-15’, a colour forecast for the printing, plastics and coatings industries in India.

Some of the trends that consumer and lifestyle inspirations highlighted are:

· Warm effect colors like matte oranges, reds and deep chocolate browns would gain prominence.

· They would be complemented by bold colours like electric / cobalt blues, purples and pinks.

· For consumer electronic appliances, silver would play a lesser role as consumers gravitate towards colours with higher chroma, effect and emotion. Individual expression takes precedence.

· Black is no longer simply monochromatic; it gets reinvented and takes on a sparkly hue.

Commenting on occasion of the unveiling, Filip Roscam, Creative Design Manager, Merck KGaA, said, “The purpose of the report is to introduce the latest global colour trends and apply them to local products. This offers customers an opportunity to predict future trends and create demand for their products. Animals, birds and human beings, everyone loves music. And music is a very important part of our Indian Cinema and most hits are because of music. So, many musicians are coming and going; but the talented person always leaves his mark. India’s first war comedy film WAR CHHOD NA YAAR, is releasing on 11th October 2013 and there is a big buzz in the trade about the film and its music. The music is scored by debutant music director Aslam Keyi. He told about his musical journey. Excerpts.

Have you been fond of music since your childhood?

I was born in Telicherry, Kerala in the royal Muslim family of Keyi. Before my birth my father died. My grandmother brought me up and she was my first music teacher. But music has no place in a Muslim family. So, I got little support from my family. When I went to college, only then I could start my music lessons with my sister Zajala and Philip sir. Later I learnt Hindustani classical from Ustaad Javed Usmani of Bhopal. Also I schooled under O.P. Nayyarji. I visited Dubai, London and from everywhere there was something that I learned. Since my childhood I was fond of music. Now it is my profession and still I am learning.

What made you to leave home?

In my school days, I made a musical rock band named Slick-N-Toxic with my friends and we were appreciated. And very soon my friend Zubair started a second classical band AZ-1000. They become popular. Our desire was to cut a music album and we made a music album titled SYMPHONY IN A MAJOR and for this I collected funds through my band. For marketing purpose first time I came to Mumbai and I stayed in my uncle’s house in Chembur. My uncle was a music lover. He had many friends in the music circles. I met O.P. Nayyar sab through my uncle’s friend Talat Mahmood. I was already a mad fan of O.P. Nayyar sab and I visited him very often. The album did not sell but on hearing the music, O.P. Nayyar sab made me his son and he blessed me. This was a big opportunity for me. I was bolstered enough and I decided to make my career in music only. I went to Dubai, settled in a studio called Global Music Centre and formed the Dubai Station musical band. I went to London to learn recording engineering. I lived there for one and a half years and I also formed Band Events with Tiston. One day O.P. Nayyar sab said, ‘If you want to do something in Bollywood, you should be staying here.’ And then I have started to work here permanently.

Did it take you a long time to get here?

I took 6-7 years to reach here. First I joined Pritamji and Ismail Darbarji. And then I joined Sanjay Chaudharyji. Sanjay is son of legend music director Salil Chaudhary and he is a genius in background score and can handle any genre of music with utmost ease and working with him is a joyous experience. I have scored the background music of more than 20 films with him. In between I have recorded music for advertisements, slogan, jingles and also music albums. Also I scored background music for 2-3 films but now WAR CHHOD NA YAAR is my first film where all songs are composed by me and the background score is also done by me.

How ddi you land the assignment for WAR CHHOD NA YAAR?

Faraz Haider is an ad-maker. We have done more than 15 ad films together. I know that he is a very intelligent and fast-thinking person. When he decided to make this film, he approached me for the music. I have composed all nine songs but only five songs have been put into use.

Which is your favorite song of this album?

For me, all the songs are very good. I used a different rhythm pattern in Jai Jawan. When you listen, you will find Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, South Indian and other patterns all mixed into its music and the song is very melodious. Listeners are liking all the songs. It is a great reward for me. I hope the audience will like my work in the film and film will be a success at the box office.
