The time Hrithik felt like a star!

Beat that! Superstar Hrithik Roshan, the man who had the dream debut of the millennium has confessed that there was only one moment in his career when he felt like a star. Can you guess which one?

In a recent conversation with Anupama Chopra at The Master Class, Hrithik revealed that he has had but one star moment in his entire career. It was during the release of his debut film, Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai, Hrithik went to Gaiety with his friend and got noticed by one of the spectator who wished him luck for the movie. Three hours later, Hrithik and his friend were mobbed as the crowd recognized the superstar in him. The crowd went berserk trying to grab a piece of this new born star and it took the cops to come there and rescue Hrithik and his friend. That being Hrithik’s one true star moment that continues to remain etched in his memory! First moments are always special, especially with that kind of stardom!

When asked, which is that one movie of his that inspires him not as an actor but as an audience, a modest Hrithik Roshan named Lakshya, Guzaarish and Koi Mil Gaya. These are some of the movies close to his heart.  Dhoom 2 has been his favourite since it helped him raise his fashion quotient and shared his experience with the stylist of Dhoom 2 – Anaita Shroff Adjania. With Hrithik’s next film, Bang Bang inching closer to release, we’re expecting more style and inspiration! After all, his well maintained body, his perfected acting and action moves and his phenomenal dancing skills sure call for some ‘Bang Bang!’ Don’t you agree?

‘Rang Rasiya’ releases a thought-provoking trailer

~ Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen seen adapting beautifully to the period drama ~

Mumbai, September 25, 2014: The makers of ‘Rang Rasiya’ have released a powerful trailer of the film, portraying the life of India’s most legendary painter, Raja Ravi Varma. Embroiled in controversy throughout his life, he was the target of public outrage over his so called blasphemous portrayal of a woman in the image of a Goddess. The woman in question is Sugandha, Raja Ravi Varma’s muse and lover, whose beauty has captivated the artist’s imagination.

Featuring Randeep Hooda as Raja Ravi Varma and Nandana Sen as Sugandha, the fast paced trailer of ‘Rang Rasiya’ takes viewers through the passionate, inciting and slightly tragic plot of the film. The trailer reveals Raja Ravi Varma’s fascination with the erotic carvings on the walls and domes of ancient Indian temples and how it inspires him as an artist. It shows the thought process behind his insistence on depicting Indian mythology and his dislike towards art that merely apes European tradition.

The trailer goes on to reveal public outrage against Raja Ravi Varma over his depiction of the same woman (Sugandha) as a Goddess and the subject of erotic art. One scene even shows Sugandha running down a street as fire leaps at her from the trail of her saree, paying the price for agreeing to be depicted that way.  In another intriguing scene that follows, she is seen confronting the artist and accusing him of having sold her off.

A story hidden deep within the dark corners of history is waiting to be told in ‘Rang Rasiya’. Showcasing what appears to be the first ever call for the freedom of expression, Raja Ravi Varma is looked upon in an entirely different light in the film. A story complete with passion, ambition, persistence, lust and tragedy, ‘Rang Rasiya’ is set to be an absolute entertainer.

Presented by Jayantilal Gada (Pen), Rang Rasiya is directed by Ketan Mehta, produced by Deepa Sahi and Aanand Mahendroo. It stars Randeep Hooda, Nandana Sen and newcomer Triptha Parashar in lead roles. ‘Rang Rasiya’ is set to release on November 7, 2014.

Rang Rasiya | Poster Launch Press Note

The makers of ‘Rang Rasiya’ have released a brand new poster of the film, which features Randeep Hooda as Raja Ravi Varma, holding his muse, played by Nandana Sen, in an intimately passionate embrace. The poster sports an image that has been beautifully worked upon to make it look like a balanced mixture of a picture and a painting.

Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen’s upcoming film ‘Rang Rasiya’ explores the life and times of Raja Ravi Varma, the legendary Indian painter who dared to give faces to Indian Gods. A target of mass hatred and controversy, Raja Ravi Varma was smitten by his muse throughout his life. The intensity of his passion for art reflected in his obsessive and sensuous relationship with his muse, which made the masses angry with her too.
