Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad and Vivek Oberoi Set Guinness World Record

The Mega Blood Donation Drive organized by Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad (ABTYP) was set up in 300 cities across the country with 700 camps. The drive has successfully set a world record by collecting 65,000 units of blood in 6 hours.

Apparently, the first record holding country collected 60,000 units of blood in 8 hours. Leaving the former record holder behind, ABTYP’s Mega Blood Donation Drive makes India the only country with 65,000 units of blood collected in just 6 hours.

The Mega Blood Donation Drive was spearheaded by actor and humanitarian, Vivek Oberoi. The actor who started the drive by donating the blood himself says, “It’s a great achievement for ABTYP and also for our country as we cement our status as the only nation to collect more than 60,000 units of blood on a single day. So far we have collected 65,000 units of blood and still counting.”

Avinash Nahar, President of ABTYP says, “We have received an overwhelming response from all over the country and it was only possible because of the hard work of the entire ABTYP team.”

Tamanchey Star, Nikhil Dwivedi Battles Malaria

Nikhil Dwivedi has been going all out to promote his upcoming gritty love story, Tamanchey. The actor’s dedication was conspicuous when he recently went to Pune for the promotion of his movie even after getting succumbed to malaria.

A source close to the actor says, “He thought it was a mild fever when he was in Pune to promote his movie. He finished his promotion plans there but the fever kept getting worse. It was only when he was diagnosed with malaria that he finally decided to return to Mumbai.”

Nikhil is currently recovering at Lilavati hospital. Due to his severe condition, several promotional plans for his upcoming film have been put to a halt. According to a source, “Due to his ill health, all his Ganpati visits and city tours have been put on hold till the time he feels strong enough to travel.”
