Uttarakhand Promises A Safe Chardham & HemkundYatra 2014

Mumbai, Thursday, April10, 2014: – The Chardham Yatra and Hemkund Sahib Yatrain Uttarakhand is all set to start in May and the Government of Uttarakhand hastaken various measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable journey for all thepilgrims coming to the state. Last month, the state government had issued a fewdirectives making government departments responsible for safe and enjoyablejourney of visitors.

Uttarakhand is globally recognizedfor its spiritually elevating destinations and beauty. Everyone who comes here becomea part of the wildlife, nature’s sceneries or places of religious worship. The state has become most popular destination for tourists seeking peaceand tranquillity besides involving themselves in leisure and sportingactivities.

The growth of tourism sector in the state has been one of the fastest inthe country. “We have initiated major tourist friendly packages that offer thediversity and ethereal beauty on a platter best suitable to them,” said Dr. Umakant Panwar, Secretary,Government of Uttarakhand. He emphasized that the state government is committedto put in place all the safety measures for ensuring a safe, secure andcomfortable journey for visitors coming for Chardham and Hemkund Sahib Yatras.

The consistent efforts to develop the state as tourist destination haveresulted into its recognition worldwide, which is evident from the everincreasing flow of international aswell as domestic visitors in the last few years, added Dr Panwar.

The Holy Yatra will begin on May2, 2014 with the opening of Yamnotri and Gangotri gates. This will be followedby the opening of gates of Kedarnath on May 4, Badrinath on May 5, and HemkundSahib on May 25, 2014.

To facilitate the pilgrims andtourists, a special control room has been set up at the Uttarakhand Tourismheadquarter in Dehradun. A Nodal Officer will manage the centre.

Preparedness

The State Government has created more than five Base Camps, 48 Wayside Amenities, Seven Ghats, Twelve Night Shelters for the Chardham Yatra.
All district magistrates in Garhwal besides the departments of health sanitation, water, electricity among others have been assigned responsibilities for maintaining efficient and smooth Chardham Yatra operations.
Instructions have been issued to ensure that work on roads and infrastructure will be completed by April 30, 2014. A special task force comprising of police and Nehru Institute of Mountaineering at Uttarkashi, has been set up for the Kedarnath route from Bhimbali. This shall function under the district magistrate of Rudraprayag.
The state government official informed that mobile towers and PCO booths had been erected every 15kms of the route and mobile hospitals and medical camps were established for the benefit of the pilgrims.
All wireless networks have been made operational and also a new police post at Kedar Valley shall become operational in April 2014.
Additionally, the services of private helicopter operators will be engaged to take passengers to Kedarnath.

As part of the safety and keepingtrack all pilgrims visiting Chardham Yatra, the state government is introducingbiometrics registration mandatory. “We want to ensure safety of pilgrims bymaking biometrics registration for all pilgrims visiting Chardham Yatra.Biometric registration counters will be setup at entry points of state and alsoin yatra routes,” said Dr. Panwar.

He added, “The state government’s main emphasis is to createparking, ghats and other infrastructure to facilitate tourists at varioustourist places. New ropeway projects are coming up with Public PrivatePartnership (PPP) at Rambara- Kedarnath, Rishikesh- Neelkanth, Dehradun-Musoorie, and Surkandadevi among others. The works of Jankichatti-Yamunotri andThuligad-Purnagiri ropeways have already been awarded.”

He further added that “the vision of state govt. is to developUttarakhand as a world class tourist destination at par with some of the greatdestinations of the world.”

Winter Chardham

After thedevastation in the region last year, the state government has decided toempower the locals financially. For this, they have come up with a uniqueconcept and can be a big hit in terms of encouraging the guest flow and benefitthe locals in the region. During winter, for six months, the deities from all fourdhams – Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath shifted and worshipedrespectively to shrines of Kharsali, Mukhva, Ukhimath and Pandukeshwar(Joshimath),. And all are aware, that beauty of Himalayas during winters isunmatched.

The key motive forthe proposal is to attract more devotees and to open up the opportunity 365Days in this sector. The tourism in the sector will eventually provide moreemployment to the locals of the respective regions. The pilgrims can also enjoywinter sports activities, exciting views of Snow Clad peaks, local culturalprogrammes such as fairs, festivals, Kaurav puja and Pandav dance among otherswhich would certainly help in introducing the local culture more closely.

It is raining stars for Dubai. This emirates has become one of the hot spots for Bollywood celebrities to promote their movies and celebrate their birthdays.

Rocking rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh turned 31 last month with a secret party with his close friends in Dubai. He flew to Dubai on and hosted a concert with good friend Mika Singh at Wonderland. It appears he combined that with a birthday celebration the next day.

Confirming this, Honey Singh told his fans: “Yes, I flew into Dubai with my close friends and family for my birthday. I’ve been working really hard. So I deserve to party hard, right?”

Sony Jose, the heartthrob from the South Indian film industry had flew all the way to Dubai to chill out with his friends. ARJUN RAMPAL’S FREE SUNDER MISSION: A STELLAR SUCCESS

Mumbai, 9th April 2014: Actor Arjun Rampal, who has been closely affiliated with PETA and the Free Sunder Campaign is elated as his initiatives to save the troubled 14 year elephant have yielded results. He recently tweeted, “Good news! Today, the Hon’ble Bombay High Court passed a landmark judgement in favour of PETA India by passing an order seeking the implementation of the order dated 21 August 2012 passed by the Joint Secretary (Forests), Government of Maharashtra to release Sunder to a sanctuary”.

Sunder had been living under terrible conditions at a temple. Arjun had been campaigning on Twitter along with various other renowned personalities, who joined him in this fight to free Sunder. He had even personally delivered a letter to the forest minister, which helped expedite the transfer of the elephant to a sanctuary.

Excited about Sunder finally being freed into the wild, Arjun Rampal also thanked everyone saying, “Thank u all for ur support #freeSunder is well on his way to his natural habitat”.

The actor had also donated two billboards for the campaign to spread awareness on Sunder’s plight. Placed at prominent locations, they showed Sunder lying chained, with a message written across, saying, “Maharashtra Forest Department, Have a Heart: Free Sunder”.

An ardent animal lover and socially aware individual, Arjun has always worked for the betterment of lives around him, every way he can.

In a subtle soiree , held on 14th January 2014 and attended by eminent film directors Mr. Prakash Jha and Mr. Anil Sharma along with top playback singers Shaan, Sadhana Sargam, Roopkumar Rathod, Javed Ali and Vinod Rathore, T-series has released two music albums, produced by Swing Media Spectrum: ‘WOH SAPAN TUMHI TOH THAY’ (romantic) and ‘VAR DOH’ (devotional). The melodious songs are taken from the poetry book ‘POOJA KAROON YA PYAR KAROON’ written by Mr. Ajit Sinha. The music for both the albums is composed by Zulfqar Ali and arranged by Kapil Gupta.

The videos are directed by Atul Gupta.

Rarely we come across such people who, even while discharging their duties efficiently on responsible Govt. posts, are still able to keep alive the artist within. Mr. Ajit Sinha is one such wonder who penned the lyrics for such soothing songs. His first collection of poetry ‘LE CHALO USS PAAR’ was received well in the literary world. It was during the creation of his second book ‘POOJA KAROON YA PYAR KAROON’, that Swing Media Spectrum recognized the potential of his poetry and hit upon the idea of translating his poetry into a musical work – an audio-visual extravaganza of songs and videos!

The first album ‘WOH SAPAN TUMHI TOH THAY’ contains 10 romantic tracks rendered by Shaan, Sadhana Sargam, Roopkumar Rathod, Javed Ali and Vinod Rathore along with a few blossoming singers. The second album is ‘VAR DOH’, a collection of 8 devotional songs rendered by Jyotiraman Iyer. DVDs containing the music videos of both the albums were also released.

On this occasion, music arranger Kapil Gupta who has worked with stalwart music composers said, “The real challenge in the music arrangement of these songs was to match the depth and timelessness of the lyrics in the orchestration as well, with a totally new sound design that would be contemporary, yet not compromising the classy expression of the lyrics! Something equally appealing to all the classes and generations.”

Director Atul Gupta, who has many music videos, animation and corporate films for the MNCs to his credit said, “Making the videos of these songs was a ‘never-before’ experience for me. The amalgamation of lyrics, with all the unique fragrances of lovely emotions coming straight from the lyricist’s heart and the rich music became very demanding visually. But this challenge turned into a creative pleasure as the lyrics themselves suggested the visuals and the music led to the shot divisions and cuts.”

Shraddha Kapoor lost her balance while riding a bike during the shoot of Mohit Suri’s ‘Ek Villain’.

The biker girl’s bike went out of control while filming an important sequence and slumped on the road.

Says a source, “In the scene that was being shot, Shraddha was meant to overtake Sidharth (Malhotra) who was also on a bike. She accelerated too much and the bike sprawled. She was badly bruised on her elbows and knees but the helmet saved her.”

Shooting was delayed for an hour as doctors attended to Shraddha but the professional that she is, she decided to not cancel the shoot, which is now in its final leg.

‘DEBINA STUNS SUMIT WITH HER TAANDAV’

‘Chidiya Ghar’ is the story of a fun-loving family comprising of different members with their own uncanny & funny mannerisms.

Mayuri aka Debina Banerjee and Gomukh aka Sumit Arora play the part of a happy couple on the show entertaining the other family members with their playful antics and disputes.

In a recent track, Debina was supposed to do a dance performance on a Bollywood song and express her displeasure and anger on Sumit through it. Sumit felt that Debina would find it difficult to enact such a performance as she is a very pleasant person in real life. However, Debina gave a superb dance performance and Sumit was pleasantly surprised.

Sumit said, “I was not completely sold on the idea of Debina doing an anger-filled performance as she one of the nicest persons I know and even told her that it might be a challenge for her. Debina pleasantly surprised me and all the other set members with her artistic rendition of anger through the dance performance. It was perfectly executed.”

Debina said, “I love to dance and have learnt it professionally as well. It was difficult to express anger through dance as most of us express joy through it. I took it up as a challenge as not everyone gets an opportunity to do a modern ‘taandav’. My co-actors loved my anger-laced dance performance and congratulated me for it.”

Asin Unwinds With Water Sports On Bali Vacation

Actress Asin, who is quite fond of adventure sports, recently had a blast while on a vacation to Bali.

A source said that while in Bali, Asin indulged in water sports like jet skiing, snorkeling and sea walking. A source says, “Asin is an adventure sports enthusiast. She plans to explore other such activities as and when she gets a break.”

On her part, Asin added, “Bali is one of my favorite travel destinations. I am a complete water baby so it is an ideal place to unwind.”

Shiv Sagar’s directorial venture, ‘Arasuri Maa Ambe’ has intrigued many including Narendra Modi’s top tourism officials. No, it has nothing to do with politics or the elections.

According to the sources, NaMo always believed in Ambe Maa and has tried preserving her temple. He looks at it as one of India’s religious splendours and it has one of the finest back stories to it. It would be a good experience to see a film on their beloved Maa. The tourism officials approached Shiv  as he understands the mythology very  well and has the capability to vision such a challenging subject on celluloid.

With Narendra Modi’s support and Mr Amitabh Bachchan lending his voice for the film,without any remuneration for the religious cause,Shiv Sagar’s Directorial debut has shaped up really well.The film is one of its kind as it is shot  in 3D with precision with the help of high tech equipments and other advanced technology which has never been used in India before.

The Main Motive of this Mytho 3D film was to give a further push to the already blooming tourism industry here and to attract more tourists to Gujarat,Making it into a tourist hotspot.
