Radhe Guru Maa honored in Annual Shobha Yatra

Punjab. Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa was honored by the citizens of Mukerian in Hoshiarpur at Punjab, who had invited the Hindu guru to participate in their annual Shobha Yatra on occasion of Ram Navmi on 8 April 2014.

The Shobha Yatra, which also included other sadhus, mahanta and saints of various Hindu lineages, began at Paramhans Bag Temple and passed through prominent landmarks of the city before concluding at the spot it had begun. Citizens of Mukerian lined the streets on the auspicious occasion to shower flower petals, sing bhajans and ensured that the procession moved without any hindrance or delay.

The Guru is currently in Punjab to oversee social betterment programs organised by the Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa Charitable Trust which supports old age homes, orphanages and institutions for people with special needs, gaushalas and NGOs that work for providing employment skills to women in rural and semi-rural areas.

“The Shobha Yatra is an annual event that has been organised for several years now. Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa began her spiritual journey from Mukerian and holds a special place in her heart for the devotees here. She has been accepting their invitation to participate in the Shobha Yatra for some years now. When I was told about the twist in the plot it surprised me a bit. It took both, Shilpa and me some time to get the act right as the roles were reversed for both of us. It was both a challenging and amusing sequence that was enjoyed by us.”

Sajid Nadiadwala, who is introducing Tiger Shroff in his production, Heropanti, wants to dedicate the first song of the film, Whistle Baja to all the flute players.

The song Whistle Baja has the very popular tune that flute players have been playing since a very long time now which is also inspired by the original tune of Jackie Shroff’s film, Hero.

Sajid Nadiadwala feels that they should be given some credit to keep the tune alive for the last 30 years, which could also have been forgotten and hence he decided to dedicate it to them.

The first song of the film starring debutants Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon has a version of the tune which has been well-liked by everyone and the flute players across the country are hugely responsible for this.

So much so, that Sajid Nadiadwala has also specially invited about 10 flute players to be a part of the first song launch. The producer of the film was very keen on honouring them for what they have unknowingly done.

Deepika’s fans make their ramp debut

Deepika recently launched a clothing line with Van Heusen and the brand wanted to put together a fashion show for her collection.

The brand was keen to have top models walking the ramp for the show..

However Deepika suggested that rather than models, her fans should get this opportunity.

The team then chose 10 female fans of Deepika from across the country to walk the ramp. It was a random pick and her fans from different cities will be all flown in. Deepika would spend time, interact and groom them.

Deepika has worked around her schedule, she is shooting night to ensure she can personally groom these girls.

Deepika is keen for them to taste of what it’s like being a professional model,. They will undergo rehearsals, make up, grooming,  trials and  everything else before they hit the ramp.

Since the ace actress herself believed in this idea, she took full responsibility of grooming the girls who would be walking the ramp for the very first time.

Says Deepika “I thought it would be interesting to pick girls who identify with the way I dress. We haven’t selected them on the basis of their looks, height or whether they are experienced models. It was a random pick from the entries we had,”

“I will try to make it as memorable and special for them. I will spend time with them, chat and groom them so that they go back with great memories,” says Deepika,

The versatile artist Sonu Nigam and Suzanne D’mello have sung the peppy song. ‘Thumka’ is a groovy and upbeat number, and is sure to get the listener hooked on. The lyrics have been penned by the wizard of words Irshad Kamil and the supremely talented duo Salim-Sulaiman have composed the track.

‘Kaanchi’ is the story of an innocent rural beauty Kaanchi, played by debutante actress Mishti, and her struggle to fight for her rights against power. Directed by Subhash Ghai and co-starring Rishi Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborty, Kartik Aaryan, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Rishabh Sinha in pivotal roles, the musical drama is produced by Mukta Arts. It is slated to release on 25th April, 2014.


2 States’ latest track ‘Chaandaniya’ revealed

The brand new video of the song from ‘2 States’, titled ‘Chaandaniya’, has been released. It shows a time in the lives of Krish and Ananya when they are away from each other. The video can be viewed at

Talented singers K Mohan and Yashita Sharma, from the well know music band ‘Agnee’, have lent their voices for this preppy track. The video gives a glimpse of the void that has formed in Krish and Ananya’s lives as they try to cope with the distance that has developed in the relation. The video also portrays the incomplete feeling of being away from your loved one.

A UTV Motion Pictures presentation, and a Sajid Nadiadwala & Karan Johar production, ‘2 States’ has been directed by Abhishek Varman and stars Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor. It is based on Chetan Bhagat’s best-selling novel 2 States, and is slated to release on 18th April, 2014.
