‘Queen’ connects with movie aficionados, online

Mumbai, 26th February, 2014: Actress Kangana Ranaut, as the simple and lovable ‘Rani’, and Lisa Haydon, as the uninhibited ‘Vijaylakshmi’, have made a place for themselves in the audience’s hearts with the trailer and addictive songs of ‘Queen’. The makers of ‘Queen’ have ensured that they present the same sentiment on the digital space, as well, with applications and memes that establish a connect with the film.

Queen teaser featured a shy ‘Rani’, asking for #HoneymoonTips from the audience. With its innovative and interactive approach it created quite an impact.

The digital platform offers a host of exciting activities and updates to engage the fans. Queen’s official Facebook page introduced the characters of the film with memes to display their traits, using dialogues and instances from the film. Different kind of memes-Tips to survive single honeymoon, Humare Indian Mein, Rani ke Funde, Vijaylakshmi ke Funde- have caught the audience’s eyes. Each of them have a witty take on stereotypes and character traits, making it a fun-read and must-share for all the users. Memes for #HumareIndiaMein such as ‘We Don’t Need GPS. We have Paanwale to ask the directions’, with Kangana looking lost holding a roadmap in Paris, tell the truth in a humorous manner, adding Rani’s point of view to it. The memes also had a humorous take on the current topics, for instance the Queen’s Facebook page also did topical posts on the ‘Facebook buys Whatsapp’ trend, which swept the digital space.

Queen’s Facebook Page also hosts an application, ‘En Route Single Honeymoon’, which allows users to choose a cover photo for themselves, from 14 different options of exotic destinations. They sport whacky captions, associated with various cities across the world. The cover photo options range from the ones saying, “I would like to gamble in Vegas on my #SingleHoneymoon” and “I would like to party all night in Ibiza on my #SingleHoneymoon” to “I would like to visit all strip clubs in Bangkok on my #SingleHoneymoon”. Another Facebook Application, ‘Queen’s Journey’, captures Rani’s life-changing journey with exclusive behind the scene videos. One of those videos talk about tips to stay warm during Delhi winters and another one shows an over eager aunty making sure that she gets a picture with Kangana during ‘Queen’s shoot in the capital. All are must watch videos, for sure.

Just like ‘Rani’ became ‘Queen’ in Paris, a soon-to-be-launched application will allow users to find the foreign version of their names. Called ‘My Firangi Name’, it will allow them to enter their name, and get their phoren name in return. This application is sure to engage online users on ‘Queen’s page and get them interested. The movie has established its presence on Instagram too, as @QueenOnTheGo, where image are being posted from Rani’s point of view, covering her journey from her wedding, to her single honeymoon experiences in Paris and Amsterdam.

However, the agent keeps the best interest of the customer first and confidently shares the correct details with him.

The second TVC also focuses on the quality of services delivered by agent advisors of Max Life Insurance. Here a woman agent is seen sitting in a beauty salon when her phone rings. As she reaches out to pick up the phone, a devil appears and tries to stop her from doing so as it is a Sunday. However, the agent answers the phone and speaks to the customer who wants to enquire about the procedure for change of address. The devil continues to distract the agent, while the agent advisor asks the customer send the papers to Max Life Insurance and volunteers to take it forward from him. The TVC highlights the extent to which Max Life agents are committed to their clients and reflects their eagerness to make themselves available whenever needed.

The third TVC showcases the self-discipline and initiatives taken by Max Life Insurance to develop a relationship with their customers. Here an agent is seen delivering a policy by hand to his customer. The customers asks the agent that why did he come in person when he could have posted the policy to him. A devil appears and makes fun of the agent saying I told you to do so. The agent pays no heed and politely replies to the customer that it’s his duty to explain the customers’ rights to him in person, which a postman could not have done. He also shares with the customer that the policy can be returned within 15 days if he doesn’t like it. The devil tries to stop the agent but the agent continues to do his work in complete honesty.

Amitabh Bachchan launches Bhoothnath Returns theatrical

On 25th Feb at PVR, Amitabh Bachchan launched the first look and theatrical trailer of his upcoming film Bhoothnath Returns, jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Renu Ravi Chopra under the banner of T-Series and B R Studios.

Amitabh Bachchan along with Boman Irani launched the theatrical of Bhoothnath Returns where Mr. Bachchan revises his role of a friendly ghost while Boman plays a politician. The theatre that was converted into a ‘Bhoothworld’, Amitabh and Boman were joined on stage for the first time by the film’s child artist Parth Bhalerao who plays the role of Akhrot. The surprise act of the event was by Mr. Bachchan who did some ghostly tricks.

Later, debutant director Nitesh Tiwari addressed the media on his experience of working on Bhoothnath Returns and who was then joined by the producers Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Renu Ravi Chopra for further interactions. Producer Bhushan Kumar says, “I am very happy to take forward such a popular character of Bhoothnath with kids and all through Bhoothnath Returns. This part is for all age groups and will get funnier with Mr Bachchan and Boman Irani who have very hilarious characters to play along with Parth who has done a fantastic job.” Mr. Bachchan says, “I am thankful to T-Series to have approached me for the sequel again. This small kid Parth is the only one who can see me in the film. In this film, he is the hero and I am zero.” Parth on the other hand feels grateful to act opposite Mr. Bachchan who was very friendly with him on stage.

Bhoothnath Returns is an entertaining tale of good against evil, weak against powerful, past against future directed by Nitesh Tiwari produced by T-Series and B R Studios releasing on 11th April 2014.
