Kabaddi deserves illustrious reverence and respect.

Kabaddi deserves illustrious reverence and respect. Its long history in India can be traced from the times of Gautama Buddha, and is a testimony to the game’s core values of strength, valor and spirit. The discipline of the game is inspirational and offers lessons not only in the field of sports but also in other walks of life.

In true Indian culture, ‘Aashirwad’ (blessings) hold significant value where the elders bless the young ones prior to important events in life. This was exactly the thought behind the ‘Aashirwad’ ceremony organized here today. Over 20 star performers, which included Arjuna and Shiv Chatrapati Awardees from Pune bestowed their blessings on Puneri Paltan team which is all geared to play its first match in the ProKabaddi League in Mumbai on 27th July.
