Key Highlights

The profitability stack allows McAfee Security Alliance partners to earn additional front end margin, back end rebates or sales incentives for new or existing business, upselling and cross selling, as well as for delivering pre-sales business or technical value add activities. The extensive set of programs that were either enhanced or made available globally include:

· Deal Registration: McAfee’s largest investment in partner profitability, offers deal protection as well as up to 25% of additional margin on top of standard channel margin for partners who secure incremental new business and additional margin for suite upgrades.

· Incumbency Advantage: Provides the incumbent partner with additional margin on the first renewal to help them build loyalty through customer retention and to provide competitive advantage when renewing.

· Rebates: McAfee pays out millions of dollars each year in the form of rebates to its top channel partners. Partners can now track their earnings potential via a weekly rebate tracking report, allowing partners to make educated business decisions. Also, the Accredited Channel Engineer incentive rebate is now available globally – allowing eligible partners to earn a rebate.

· Rewards: Partner sales representatives and engineers can earn cash and prizes for selling McAfee. New rewards include; $25,000 in quarterly SMB Endpoint “Top Performer” payouts and $35,000 in Commercial Endpoint “Top Performer” payouts. Current McAfee rewards participants can now earn up to $500 in referral bonuses for referring their sales colleagues to register and start participating in McAfee rewards.

· Teaming Plan: Gives partners deal protection and additional margin for helping to work and close McAfee-found opportunities. Enhancements include, the removal of a Teaming Plan threshold to drive additional growth in the commercial market and a streamlined approval process.

The Sony pictures movie which releases on 3rd August worldwide stars Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel and Colin Farrell. Shruti Hassan makes her television debut with MTV Rush

Actress /Musician Shruti Hassan will soon feature in a new-concept show –MTV Rush, a 13 part film series, directed by Bejoy Nambiar of Shaitan fame.

Breaking new ground with a never-seen-before genre of programming on Indian television, Rush breaks all the norms associated with TV shows with 13 high impact episodes aired exclusively on MTV starting 15th July.

With a revolutionary style of shooting, one of the show’s episodes will see Shruti Hassan perform her original compositions on stage at a concert.

Kolkata Shorts International Film Festival-2012 launched: Call for participation from West Bengal & north eastern short filmmakers.

Kolkata the hub of Bengali Cinema is now hosting the international short film festival to foster the growth of new breed of filmmakers. The crowd went berserk with the astounding performances of all the contestants and wanted the high voltage concert to continue forever. Jury member Saleem Merchant looked pleased as he watched the contestants take the crowd by storm. The evening full of song, dance, masti and magic ended with a dhamakedaar group performance by the Top 9 contestants on ‘Paint It Red’. At the end of it all, Pune fans were a happy bunch of people as music was running through their veins.

‘Vodafone Drive into the Big League’ is back with Season 2

An opportunity for SMEs to take centre stage with their logo on the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes cars at the 2nd Indian Grand Prix

Mumbai, July 12, 2012: The count down for the second Indian Grand Prix has begun! Vodafone India, one of India’s leading telecommunications service providers, today commenced its activation to the second season of the motor racing event in India – Vodafone Drive into the Big League. It extends an enviable opportunity to small and medium enterprises (SME’s) to get their logo placed on the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes cars that will race at the second Indian Grand Prix to be held in Delhi from October 26-28, 2012. Vodafone received an overwhelming response to the first season with close to 80,000 entries which resulted in M/s ABC Consultants taking centre stage with the race drivers and having its logo on the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes cars during the racing weekend.

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with a turnover between INR 10 crores and INR 250 crores and an employee base of less than 1000 are eligible to participate. Shortlisted finalists get to present their cases to an esteemed panel of experts where they will debate on a television reality series for the coveted top spot. Season 2 of ‘Vodafone Drive into the Big League’ will be held at a much larger scale. Over a period of 45 days, the qualifiers will be conducted at 10 prominent SME industry hubs viz. Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Delhi, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Mangalore and Vishakhapatnam. 100 SME’s who have focused on technology as a key driver for growth will be invited for the contest in each of these venues and this would be telecast on a leading business channel during Sept-October 2012. Two winners from each venue will be selected to be the part of grand finale that will be held in Delhi closer to the Indian Grand Prix weekend.

Wild Card

There is a new element of wild card entry added to the contest this year. The wild card entry will be chosen through a contest run on a social networking platform between August 1, 2012 and September 15, 2012. Out of the entries received, 3 enterprising businesses will get an opportunity to make an elevator pitch to Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team on how they have used technology to enhance their business productivity will be selected. One of these three will get a wild card entry into the grand finale.

Grand Finale

For the Grand Finale, 20 winners from the qualifying rounds and the wild card winner from the online contest will then debate on a reality show on a leading business channel all through September/October 2012 for the coveted spot. “Devyani” at a hundred and still going strong!

“Devyani”, completes a momentous 100 hundred days on the 11th of July 2012. To celebrate this outstanding achievement, Maverick Productions Pvt. Ltd., threw a bash on Wednesday with the cast of the show as well as the movers and shakers of the small screen. This well organized event was put together by Reetika Mehra of RM Enterprises.

Seen along with the CEO of Maverick Productions, Dr.Anuj Saxena, were Deepshikha Nagpal, Jay Soni, Nausheen Ali Sardar, Shruti Ulfat, Maninee De and host of other celebs from Hindi and Marathi television. The crème of the crème was of course the lead of the show “Devyani”, Shivani Surve and Sangram Salvi.

On this occasion, Dr. Anuj Saxena said, “We are very proud of Devyani completing a hundred episodes. It is no mean feat and it shows that the public appreciates and values quality content. Maverick Productions has always aimed at delivering programs that excel in all aspects of content, production values or otherwise.”

Dr. Anuj Saxena also announced two new and engaging projects which would be on air soon.

The evening peaked to a more vibrant note with the guests tucking in the sumptuous food and some shaking a leg to the foot thumping music. The evening of joyful camaraderie made it a quite great affair.

About Devyani: “Devyani is the story of a Maharastrian girl from Kolhapur and who has been brought up with middle class values. She swears by the principles set by her father, a professor, and her grandmother. Devyani’s marriage has been fixed with Dr.Namit. Both Devyani and Namit develop a fondness for each other.

With their engagement round the corner, Devyani suddenly discovers that Sangram is obsessed with her. She does not know what to do. Sangram’s family is not only powerful, but also feared!

While Sangram stalks Devyani, he comes to know that Devyani is about to get engaged to Namit. Sangram is livid. He will never allow Devyani to belong to someone.. He begins to plot a plan to abort the engagement.

What happens when Devyani gets to know about the plan? Will Sangram be able to stop the engagement?”
