Google+ Stories and Movies: Memories made Easier

Google + Stories help make your holiday memories into a beautiful trip summary

Mumbai, May 21, 2014: With the holiday season in full bloom – relaxing with your loved ones, clicking pictures, shooting videos of your favourite moments while exploring new places is everyone’s top priority. However the post vacation blues set in when your back with a suitcase full of dirty clothes, task lists with unending things on it and 437 photos and videos on your phone, tablet and camera. This is what it’s like after vacation, and Google would like to help.

Of course we can’t do your laundry, or run your errands (well, maybe a few). But with Google+ Stories we can automatically weave your photos, videos and the places you visited into a beautiful trip summary.

No more sifting through photos for your best shots, racking your brain for the sights you saw, or letting your videos collect virtual dust. We’ll just gift you a story after you get home. This way you can relive your favorite moments, share them with others, and remember why you traveled to begin with.

When it’s less about travel, and more about today’s events (like a birthday party, or baby’s first steps), Google+ Movies will produce a highlight reel of your photos and videos—including effects, transitions and a soundtrack. Starting today we’re bringing Movies to all devices, so lots more people will receive these video vignettes.

To get started with Stories and Movies, simplyback up your photos and videos to Google+. And that’s it.Auto Awesome will get to work in the background, and you’ll get notified when a story or movie is ready. (In fact: if your photo library is already online, you may already have stories waiting for you.)

Stories will be available this week on Android and desktop (iOS coming soon), and Movies will be available everywhere. So look for theAndroid update (v4.4), view the full list of improvementson Google+, and enjoy your walks down memory lane.

So now your post vacation blues just got a little less blue as you can tick uploading and weaving your holiday photographs and videos into a memorable trip summary, off your to do list.  Anytime you want to take a trip down memory lane, Google+ Stories has it ready for you.
