Elite Model Look takes place across globe in more than 70 countries. Although this contest is running since 1983, it was brought to India by Max Fashion in 2014. This is the 4th edition of the contest in India. Auditions would be done in 08 cities across India and Grand Finale is in Goa. One male and one female model will be announced as winners and they will represent India in World Finale of Elite Model Look.

There are many supermodel who were discovered by Elite. These include icons like Gisele Bündchen, Cindy Crawford and Stephanie Seymour, alongside current stars Sigrid Agren, Fei Fei Sun, Ming Xi, Joséphine Le Tutour, Amilna Estevao, Vittoria Ceretti, Greta Varlese and Pauline Hoarau.

Vasanth Kumar (Executive Director of Max Fashions, India)

Max, a division of Dubai based retail giant Landmark Group., has pioneered the concept of Value Fashion Retailing in the country. Launched in 2004, Max is today the Largest Value fashion brand across 18 countries with over 250 stores and combined  Turn Over of USD 1.3 Billion .

As head of Max’s Indian operations, Vasanth is currently spearheading the brand’s aggressive growth plans in India and Max is already the largest brand in the segment with over 110 stores across 45 cities in India with T.O of INR 1400 Cr in 2014-15.

Vasanth reports to Mr. Ramanathan, Director, Landmark Gulf Group of Companies based in Dubai.

With an illustrious marketing career spanning 25 years, Vasanth has a rich and diverse career in Marketing, Sales and Retail Management in the Apparel, FMCG and Consumer Durable industries in India. Vasanth Kumar started his career with a sales & marketing stint in a Consumer Goods company where he handled various marketing campaigns and product launches.

He has also spent a decade with an Apparel Major handling their Premium brand portfolio as Vice President. He has successfully launched one of the largest selling Apparel Brands in the Value segment during his stint with the company. In Feb 2005, he joined the Landmark Gulf Group as President, Max Retail Division, Lifestyle International – headquartered in Bangalore and moved up to become the Executive Director of the brand.

Vasanth has an M. Tech from IIT, Madras and a PGDBM (MBA – Marketing & Finance) from XLRI, Jamshedpur. Vasanth lives with his wife who is a freelance Interior designer and  their 13 year old daughter, in Bangalore.

Marc Robinson 

HE initiated his career in the Indian fashion, film and glamour industry 25 years ago. His rise from one of the first and foremost of the few of India’s supermodels to a VJ to an to actor to a fashion choreographer, to an event director has been prolific to say the least. Today he is India’s most renowned and sought after grooming expert and a Beauty Pageant and Fashion Director.
Marc Robinson was the Founder and Fashion Director of Dubai Fashion Week. Marc has worked as a show director at Lakme India Fashion week. Marc was also the National Director for the Femina Miss India beauty pageant as well as the contestant and show director for Ford Super Model of the World, the Indian chapter .
In addition to this he is currently the creative and fashion director for the BMW India Bridal Fashion Week as well as the Project Head for Max India Fashion Icon and MAX Elle Fashion Awards Student Edition. Marc has worked with the best of Indian designers, to name a few, Tarun Tahiliani, Rohit Bal, Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla, Suneet Varma, JJ Vallaya, Wendell Rodiricks, Manish Malhotra, Manish Arora, Amanika Khanna and Arjun Khanna, as well as a few international designers, to name a few, Valentino, Ferre, Zegna and Truss ardour, as well as directed and choreographed the launch of numerous fashion and lifestyle brands in India, to name a few, Diesel, Gas, Guess. Levis, Mango, Kenneth Cole. Door, D&G, Cavali, Tommy Hilfiger, Benetton, Esprit, Yepme.com, Tiffany’s. Rosy Blue Diamonds, Orra Diamonds, Zoya and Innara Jewelry and World Gold Council.
