EKTA KAPOOR COMEDY GETS ITS TITLE FROM DELHI STUDENTS

After hits like ‘Vicky Donor’, ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ and ‘Fukrey’, Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi’ is the latest comedy to be set in the by-lanes of Delhi.

Capturing the loud North-Indian milieu in its purest form, real fresh faces were cast to lend authenticity to this young slice-of-life comedy. So much so that even the film’s title was chosen through a survey by the youth of Delhi.

Says joint producer Bejoy Nambiar, “KMKJHG has a quintessential Delhi flavor. While deciding on its title, we took inputs from Delhi students from various colleges. We zeroed in on the word jhand, which is very popular in the city. The word describes the hilarious crisis situation that the actor is in.”

Director Aman Sachdeva adds, “The film is about a fun, quirky and no-holds barred friendship that turns crazy when competition seeps in.”

The film releases on May 30.

Emraan Hashmi meets street hustlers for his role in Raja Natwarlal.

In order to effectively play a conman in Raja Natwarlal, Emraan Hashmi read a lot about Mithilesh Kumar Srivastava alias Natwarlal, a notorious conman who was known for his elaborate cons like selling the Taj Mahal, the Red Fort and the Parliament House.

Apart from this, he also met a few street hustlers to learn ‘sleight of hand’ or what is known as ‘haat ki safai’ for the role. Director Kunal Deshmukh said, “Emraan learned a lot of sleight of hand tricks from these hustlers and we have used as few hand doubles as possible for the scenes involving these tricks as Emraan has shot for most of such scenes himself.”

Also starring Paresh Rawal, Humaima Malik and Kay Kay Menon, ‘Raja Natwarlal’ shot in Mumbai, Dharamshala and Cape Town, will present the dark horse of Bollywood in a ‘never-before-seen’ avatar.

Emraan plays a modern day Natwarlal who along with his partner in crime, lives off short cons and day-to-day hustles in Mumbai. The movie progresses through many twists and turns, cons and more cons, leading to a big one. The film is a total masala entertainer, which will take you through the world of con and philosophies of conmen.

The film is slated for release on August 29th 2014.

Tiger Shroff-Vikram Singh’s Hero-Baddie Bonding On ‘Heropanti’ Sets

Vikram Singh, who will be seen playing the antagonist Rajjo Fauji in Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Heropanti’ is a fitness freak, just like the protagonist Tiger Shroff and it was but natural that the two actors bond while shooting for the film.

Confirming the news, Singh says, “Tiger is more into martial arts whereas I am into heavy weights and boxing but despite that, we bonded pretty well on the sets of the film.”

Sources attached to the film also disclose that the two actors would often indulge in friendly arm-wrestling bouts between shoots, which were watched by the rest of the unit with much interest and cheering.
