Africa. Adnan is the youngest recipient of the “NAUSHAD MUSIC AWARD for Excellence in Music. The previous recipients of this Award include names like Lata Mangeshkar and Mucic Maestro Khayam. Adnan was invited as a member of the jury of the prestigious music festival “Voice of Asia” competition held annually at Almaty, Kazhakstan. This jury comprised of top music composers of the world.

Adnan was educated in Britain where he first studied at the Prestigious 800 year old Public School called “Rugby School” where amongst the many famous former students include Sir Edward Heath (Former Prime Minister of Great Britain) and Salman Rushdie. The game ‘Rugby’ was invented in this school and hence named after the school. He went on to graduate in ‘Journalism’ & ‘Political Science’ from the

Adnan Sami has been featured in a documentary recently commissioned by the Foreign and Common Wealth Office of Great Britain amongst exclusive ten famous names from the sub-continent of India, who have influenced the Asian culture in the UK over the last fifty years.

As a classical concert pianist, Adnan Sami has had the honor of giving “solo” Royal Command Performances before such Royalty as the King of Sweden and King Hussein of Jordan. Moreover, questions are being raised about how ethical it is for a participant to announce her entry on the reality show to the media, twenty days before it begins on October 7! Bigg Boss 6 on prime time from October 7

The Boss seems to be pleased by Bollywood PR guru Dale Bhagwagar’s suggestions! Why else would he be implementing most of them for Season 6 of Bigg Boss, beginning October 7.

Last month, the celebrity publicist had suggested in the media that the upcoming season of India’s biggest reality show “could target generation next to expand its fan-base to children and teens.”

“If this happens, then Bigg Boss might be able to change its late night timings and come in a prime time slot along with megastar Salman Khan interacting with children and youth,” Dale had said.

Speaking to the media yesterday, Salman Khan almost echoed, “This season will connect with the whole family. There will be more tasks and games this time. We have moved into the prime time slot of 9 pm.”

For the record, Dale Bhagwagar has handled the media affairs for some of the most controversial Bollywood celebrities including Shilpa Shetty during Big Brother, and Bigg Boss contestants Rakhi Sawant, Kashmera Shah, Sambhavna Seth, Sherlyn Chopra, Pooja Misrra, Diana Hayden, Shamita Shetty, Vindu Dara Singh, Zulfi Syed, Ashmit Patel and Amar Upadhyay, from time to time.

FIGHTING FINISH FOR MAHINDRA’S POPOV AFTER TIGHT FIRST CORNER CATCHES WEBB

Sunday, 16 September, 2012: Today at Misano, luck did not favour the Mahindra Moto3™ team, when top rider Danny Webb’s hopes of finishing in the points were dashed by a crash on the very first bend.

The 21-year-old Englishman became the latest of many victims of the Misano circuit’s very tight first corner, when he was squeezed and pushed on corner entry, in a high-speed traffic jam. He was unable to avoid a crash that involved three other riders.

But replacement rider Miroslav Popov restored some cheer to the Mahindra garage in only his second race on the white-and-red MGP-30, pulling through from 33rd on the grid to finish 19th, holding his place in the middle of a tight group of three more experienced GP riders.

The 17-year-old from the Czech Republic, riding in place of injured team regular Riccardo Moretti, is a grand prix novice, and a novice also on the 250cc four-stroke Moto3 machine, in the first year of the category.

Mahindra is one of a tiny handful of entrants using its own chassis and engine, developing new technology at the same time as challenging the might of the established racing factories that fill the rest of the grid. It is the first and still the only Indian team in motorcycle grand prix racing.

The race, round 23 laps of the 4.226-km circuit, was won by title leader Sandro Cortese.

MIROSLAV POPOV – 19th Position

As seems normal for me, I got a bad start and was at the back. I managed to chase the group in front of me, and I had a good fight with them that lasted the whole race. I had some difficulty changing gear later in the race which made it more difficult, so I am quite pleased I could carry on the battle.

DANNY WEBB – Did Not finish

That was really frustrating – all the effort and the race lasted only a couple of hundred metres. I was in the back half of the grid and the first corners are really tight, and as everyone funnelled in I was blocked and had nowhere to go. I crashed, and unfortunately three other riders also went down … that’s how crowded it gets. Better luck next time.

It was a shame that Danny was caught out so early in the race as he was having a reasonably good weekend. But the first turn is tight and the Moto3 grid is big so it was always going to be interesting. I am happy about Miro’s ride. He had a respectable race in which many other riders crashed.

Hit jodi of Shantanu Moitra and Swanand Kirkire now in a Bengali film

They have been partners in rhyme for almost a decade now. From Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi to Parineeta to Lago Raho Munnabhai to 3 Idiots, music director Shantanu Moitra and lyricist Swanand Kirkire have always created unforgettable soundtracks together. And now they have woven their magic in a Bengali film. Paanch Adhyay is not only Dia Mirza’s first Bengali film, it is also the first Bengali film for the hit jodi of Shantanu-Swanand.
“Although Paanch Adhyay is a Bengali film, since Dia plays a half-Bengali girl named Ishita, there was an opportunity to look at things from her point of view and create a Hindi song,” says Shantanu. Swanand wrote the song Rahoon tere peechhe and that has been sung by Kaushiki Chakrabarty, who was recently heard on MTV Coke Studio.
That’s not all, Swanand’s also written another song for the film called Uda jaaye, which he has sung himself. Says Paanch Adhyay’s writer-director Pratim D. Gupta: “I showed Swanand a part of the film and he came up with a couple of lines that summed up the core thought beautifully. Shantanu and I both instantly decided that he has to sing the track for the film.”
The Paanch Adhyay soundtrack also marks a lot of other firsts. It features the first Bengali film song for Shubha Mudgal, the first Bengali song for Ash King (Dil gira dafatan, Te amo, Auntyji auntyji) and an English song by the one and only Usha Uthup. The album also features songs by Shaan and Shreya Ghoshal. The four Bengali songs have been penned by the National Award-winning lyricist duo of Anindya Chatterjee and Chandril Bhattacharya, while the English track has been written by Pratim himself.
Paanch Adhyay, starring Priyanshu Chatterjee and Dia Mirza, is a romantic drama coming soon at a theatre near you.
