Shiamak Davar’s students at his academy in town were in for a starry surprise as ex student Shahid Kapur made a surprise visit. Shahid came to drop his younger brother who is a part of Shiamak’s special potential batch, a place where Shahid himself started from years back. All students were glad to see the Bollywood star and got some interesting tips for the ace dancer.

‘I’m coming to dance class again after almost twelve year and the amazing part is that everything is the same, the instructors, the students and the energy. Whatever dancing i’ve learnt is largely because of Shiamak and SDIPA. The institute has grown to be bigger, larger and better just like Shiamak himself has! It was a spontaneous decision to come here today to drop Ishaan and I’m so happy I did!’ said Shiamak.

Shahid stayed back to watch the dance routines as the students are preparing for a show next week in which his brother is also performing. Spending over an hour dancing with the kids and clicking photos, Shahid slipped back into his dancing shoes with complete ease.

Shiamak was extremely touched by Shahid’s gesture and said ‘It always humbles me that even after becoming such a big star Shahid still gives back to the dance school and has such respect for it. This just goes to show how good a human he still is. For me, this is what makes Shahid so special.’

Fire in the Tent during the shooting of

2 nights in Soul Valley

Film shooting and accidents go hand in hand and this is exactly what happened, when 2 Nights in Soul Valley made under the banner of Pinta & Dehal productions, was shot in Morni Hills near Chandigarh.

The climax of the movie was to be shot, three tents were pinned and the cold was so unbearable that all the actors were shivering. Outside the tents was bonfire and amidst the shoot the actors were absorbing heat from the fire. The scene was where the protagonist of the film, Harry, was unconscious and surrounding him were Shanky, Lovely, Jenny, Vicky and Lucky. Director Harish Sharma was busy in explaining them the scene and everyone was very serious while listening as the scene was very intense. Rest of the unit were watching the shoot very silently, when suddenly smoke started coming out from one of the tent and slowly the flames were also visible. Suddenly the attention was diverted towards the fire and the unit started panicking and the situation was getting out of control. However, slowly – slowly the situation came under control and an accident was prevented. Later on everyone breathed a sigh of relief, in the very tent which caught fire in which Delhi based Umesh Verma, the still photographer for the film “2 Nights in Soul Valley” was sleeping.

This film made under the banner of Pinta & Dehal productions is directed by Harish Sharma, screenplay and screenplay is written by Meenakshi Sharma and Suman Prasad, music is composed by Varsha and the songs are sung by Varsha and Milli Moonstone, cameraman is Prakash Chand.

The actors in the film include “Office-Office” and “Krish” fame Hemant Pandey, Sumeet Sharma, Aakshi, Gaurav Shah, Meenakshi, Suumit Sharrma and British singer and actress Milli Moonstone.

Shifanjali Rao’s heart beats for canines

Model-actor Shifanjali Rao may have set the ramp and the small screen afire with her music videos, but what makes her stand out from the best is that she stands up for what she believes in.

The most recent one was when she saw a man illtreating a dog in Andheri. Says Shifanjali, “I was travelling by car when I saw the man kicking the dog. I shouted at him but of no avail.”

The dog yelped again and Shifanjali got down from the vehicle and confronted him, something one cannot expect from someone labeled a sultry glam doll. “You need to believe in something. The strength comes from within,” says Shifanjali.

Need we say the man made a hasty retreat while the canine got the chicken sandwich that was meant to be Shifanjali’s lunch on the way to a shoot!

“I wish I could do more for animals,” says Shifanjali. “As humans, each of us should do our bit. It would make our earth a better place to live in.”

“2 nights in soul valley will scare you” says Gaurav Shah

Mr. North India 2004, Gaurav Shah is all over the news nowadays as his debut film “2 Nights in soul valley” is all set to be released on 28th December. A film is made under the banner of Pinta & Dehal productions has Gaurav- a dashing and talented actor -model who has hosted many campus shows, fashion shows and singers night- in one of the lead roles of Vicky. This talented anchor who has acted alongside many veteran actors and singers is a known name in Chandigarh, Punjab.

· How did 2 Nights in Soul Valley happen to you?

I met the director of the film Harish Sharma in Mumbai during the premiere of a movie and there he spoke to me about his film. I heard the story and immediately said yes to work in his film.

· What is it about this movie that has attracted you the most?

The story. The story of this movie is the hero; you’ll be lost as you watch this movie. I can assure you that every second you’ll be thinking what will happen next.

· How is Harish Sharma as a director and were there any questions in your mind as this is his directorial debut?

Harish Sir is a gem of a person! He is a thorough professional and knows how to bring out the acting from within an actor. I was never scared as the confidence reflected from Harish Sharma’s face.

· Tell us something about your role in 2 Nights in Soul Valley?

Vicky’s role is that of a happy go lucky guy, the one who is always joking around in the group. I play a guy who is not only humorous but also sensible and is truly in love with Lovely (played by Meenakshi).

· How was it working with Hemant Pandey?

Oh! Hemant ji is a wonderful man, he is a comedian in front of cameras, but in reality he is very serious about his work. I would say that for me it was more of a learning experience working with a veteran actor like him. Before every shot he would come to me to see that whether I am ready or not and he would explain me the scene and also tell me what are the expression that I should give and would also rehearse the dialogue’s with me.

· Why did you choose a horror genre to start your acting career, isn’t it a bit risky?

See I follow a very simple rule of life, if you want to make it big in life; do not be afraid of taking risks. I can say that mine is a calculated risk. With a good story, a great director, I thought what better way to start my acting career.

· Describe “2 Nights in Soul Valley” in one word?

Unique.Different. Hatke. I say this because even after being a horror film there are no scary faces, no slaughtering and still I guarantee it will scare the life out of you and keep you on the edge of your seats.

· Can you tell us something about the story of the film?

It’s a story about five friends from Chandigarh who go to Pithoragarh for trekking and some fun. However, things turn bad once they reach there and all the strange things happen to them. I cannot say anything more about the story as this would kill the mood. So to know more please go and watch this movie.

· Why should the audiences watch this movie?

If you are looking for something different, if you love excitement and if you are the kind of person who loves watching horror movie this is the film for you.

The only name that came to our minds was the talented Rahul Sharma and we are happy to be working with such stalwarts.”

Deep India is a venture under Deep Forest’s Projects, where Eric Mouquet experiments with different kinds of music from all over the world. Deep Forest released Deep Brazil (2008), which signified the aura and sensitivities of Brazil’s rainforests and local beats with vocal harmonies. The album ‘Deep Africa’ will mark the return to Mouquet’s first musical influences, i.e. Africa and will combine atmospheric compositions with a spiritual and rhythmic mélange of African chanting.

Episodic Synopsis – Day 65

Flash Mob storms the Bigg Boss house

Some of the housemates have stayed up all night to win the luxury budget task. Sapna, Delnaaz, Imam and Nirahua are seen in the garden area as the lights inside the house come on. Sapna runs inside the house with the loudspeaker to wake everyone up and tells them to check the store room. In sometime, all the housemates rise and shine. Bigg Boss gives Urvashi a secret task to spoil the breakfast cooked by Delnaaz in the kitchen area. Almost instantly, Urvashi heads to the kitchen area and offers to help. She takes over the frying pan slyly and starts adding ridiculous amount of salt, pepper and spices to the ‘paranthas’. All the housemates like Karishma, Santosh etc start feeling the spice in their food from their first bite itself. Urvashi pretends innocent and watches along. Rajev looks at his ‘parantha’ to discover that his food is immersed with spices.

Meanwhile, Delnaaz also realizes that Urvashi has mixed too many spices that have made everyone’s breakfast inedible. She starts crying as she feels hurt on such sadist behavior. Rajev steps up to Urvashi and starts arguing with her about the food. Soon the argument turns ugly as the tempo goes high and both of them start shouting at each other. Rajev is upset as Urvashi has been wasting food intentionally and Urvashi starts the blame game by pointing out the numerous occasions where the others had made mistakes and not repented it. Urvashi storms away from the scene and leaves the housemates puzzled at her unforeseen outburst. Rajev gets emotional with Vishal and starts crying. All the rest come and console him.

In sometime, Rajev comes to Delnaaz and tells her that he is a real man and stood up for what is right unlike the others. Bigg Boss tells Urvashi that her secret task is over and tells her to return the ear piece etc in the confession room without anyone noticing. In sometime, Aashka and Delnaaz are seen discussing Urvashi’s behavior. Aashka tells Niketan to talk to Urvashi and figure if she’s performing a task etc as her outbursts were getting out of control. Niketan approaches Urvashi and expresses that her behavior has definitely changed and doubts her for performing a secret task. Urvashi plays safe and tells him that she is the way she is behaving and nothing else.

Meanwhile, the housemates are performing their luxury budget task. Suddenly different groups of random people start entering the Bigg Boss house from various corners of the house like the confession room, store room, main entrance and the activity area. All the housemates are left shell shocked to see the large amount of people. All these people assemble in the garden area and that’s when the music starts. The performers start grooving to some of the most exciting south Indian songs like daddy mummy, ante and Kolaveri di with superb energy and enthusiasm. The housemates couldn’t help but to shake a leg with these wonderful youngsters who were putting up one adrenaline pumping show. The housemates were floored by the performance and were totally caught in the moment. In a bit, Bigg Boss announced the conclusion of the weekly task, which left the housemates celebrating the success of yet another task.

The day had the perfect end to it as a ‘sabzi mandi’ was introduced in the Bigg Boss house for luxury budget shopping. Bigg Boss chose Delnaaz, Rajev, Urvashi and Sapna for completing this task. The four housemates had fifteen minutes to shop whatever they can with their budget in the ‘sabzi mandi’ organized in the performance area. The housemates played well and bought a good amount of luxury items. After the housemates celebrate their luxury goods, Karishma catches Imam dipping his used spoon in the peanut butter. Karishma, Sapna and the other give Imam an earful for his careless mistake. The night has a somewhat romantic end as Rajev walks up to Delnaaz and wishes her a happy wedding anniversary.
