India gets it first Indian Idol Junior

Anjana Padmanabhan becomes the first Junior Singing sensation

MUMBAI, September 1st, 2013: The show that enthralled viewers across the country and touched a billion hearts, a journey which started with 86 contestants who came from across India has now come to an end as India gets its ‘First Indian Idol Junior’. After three months of rigorous competition, hard work and millions of votes, Anjana Padmanabhan was crowned the winner by none other than the living legend Amitabh Bachchan himself, while Debanjana Mitra, Anmol Jaswal and Nirvesh Dave secured the first and the second runners-up position respectively. The finale was a visual spectacle of sorts with Priyanka Chopra, Shahid Kapoor and Ramcharan setting the stage on fire with their scintillating performances.

The first Indian Idol Junior received a grand prize money of 25 lakhs from Sony Entertainment Television, a Nissan Micra Car, a fixed deposit of 5 Lakhs from Kotak and 2 Lakhs from Horlicks. The grand finale which was aired almost live on Sony Entertainment Television saw the homecoming of the top 11 contestants who entertained the audience with special performances along with electrifying performances by judges Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani.

Ecstatic and overwhelmed with her win, Anjana Padmanabhan said, “Although we were competing against each other, we were like a family filled with unique characters and had our moments of joy and sorrow. Indian Idol Finale – a striking affair

All roads will drive to the Indian Idol sets this weekend as Sony Entertainment Television’s singing reality show Indian Idol Junior will get its first winner of this season.

The moment was redolent when Bollywood’s chocolate boy made a special appearance on the show on the song ‘Mein tere agal bagal’ from his upcoming movie Phata Poster Nikala Hero. The finale of the first ever season of this immensely popular singing reality show was in every sense an extraordinary extravaganza at display which will go on non- stop for two and a half hours.

All top 11 contestants took to the stage one last time cheering for the finalists swaying on the famous track ‘Badtameez Dil’ leaving the audience in frenzy!

Nawazuddin Siddiqui shares his personal experiences with students at the Master Mantra

Mumbai, August 31, 2013: Known for his critically acclaimed performances in movies like ‘Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2’, Talaash, Kahaani, Bombay Talkies etc, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui was seen sharing his experience with students during Master Mantra organized by the Zee Institute of Media Arts (ZIMA). The session focused on topics related to filmmaking, his personal experiences and his journey through the unfavorable circumstances during his struggle period. MASTER MANTRA is a platform offered by Zee Institute of Media Arts (ZIMA) for all enthusiasts to gain exposure from renowned creative personality and understand the dynamics of the industry. This seminar was attended by 250 students coming from various academic backgrounds.

Master Mantra is an open forum that allows interactive sessions with experienced seniors from the industry to meet students and provide them an insight about the profession and its technicalities. Exploring the different facets of filmmaking, and commenting on his experience, actor, Nawazuddin Siddiqui said,

“It was a good session with the students of Zee Institute of Media Arts. From the kind of questions the students asked, it was evident that they are passionate about film-making. If you are hard-working, you will succeed in this industry, it is not always necessary to have a Godfather. My message to all the aspiring actors is to work with honesty and do the kind of cinema that excites you. It is important to experiment with the different kind of cinema”, said Mr. Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

“We have always maintained that for creative and innovative thinking, students should get exposure of the creative world. We are glad to receive enriching experiences from well known personalities in this field. We hope to bring in more such sessions which help students build their future path”, said Mr. Anshuman, Youth Business Head at ZIMA.

As part of the Shiamak Davar troupe,Shahid Kapoor met Madhuri during Dil Toh Paagal Hai and was mesmerized every time she performed for a song from the romantic-drama. Reviving his memory, the actor then matched steps with Madhuri on the show, much to the audiences delight.

Hrithik Roshan visits Dahi Handi for a Charitable Cause

Hrithik Roshan attends a Dahi Handi Celebration in Ghatkopar. Hrithik Roshan who underwent a brain surgery was advised to take it easy and not go to crowded and noisy places.

The Dahi Handi which Hrithik visited was supporting tribal girls suffering from starvation.

All the money earned was to go the the Ngo which supports this cause.

Hrithik says that “My doctors told me not to go to a place where there is a lot of noise as it might affect the senses. I was also told that I shouldn’t go to a crowded place where I might get pushed,”. “These are valid concerns but I feel that nothing can harm you when you are giving love. I felt completely protected.” “when someone does something great for others, it’s always wonderful to be a part of it and contribute.

“The euphoria was so overwhelming that I just went with the flow. The energy out there was incredible. And it was also for a social cause supporting tribal girls which is also why I chose to go. I can’t believe that I jumped and danced, even though I’m not allowed to right now,”
