Sporting a never-seen-before look in Krrish 3 ,Kangana Ranaut – Bollywood’s poster girl for fashion went all out to get under the skin of her character including doing what it took to get into an all rubber-latex body suit that was challenging to perform in.

If that wasn’t all,the actress also sported customized in-built heeled shoes which added the final touch to her avatar. One of her favorite designers Gavin Miguel who also worked on her body suit, had a special pair of shoes customized for the actress.

Having done a lot of research on everything from spiked heels to flat boots,Gavin wanted Kangana to be in a space of a flexible ballerina and yet adding height to the overall look.

Says Gavin, “Finally after a painstaking month I found a great shoe company that crafted handmade shoes. From UK to Russia to the Philippines, I think I cyber traveled crazy hours to manage to do the boots for Kangana. She was amazed at the fit and comfort and that finally closed our look. The shoes are a very strong part in her character and creates an entire balanced look”.

Madras Cafe wows critics

Viacom 18 Motion Pictures,JA Entertainment and Rising Sun Films’ Madras Cafe released in theatres across the country yesterday, only to receive rave reviews from audiences and critics alike.

All praise for the film says acclaimed critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, “MADRAS CAFE is one of the finest thrillers to come out of India. No two opinions on that! Shoojit deserves brownie points for thinking beyond the stereotype, especially since he doesn’t repeat himself after the immensely successful and likeable VICKY DONOR. It’s a film that you should watch because it gives you an insight into an exceptionally pertinent episode of history. If you are in the frame of mind to watch superior quality, sensible cinema, I would strongly recommend MADRAS CAFE.”

Adds Anupama Chopra, “Madras Cafe is flawed but ambitious and brave. I recommend you make time for it.”

Says author and columnist Shobhaa De, “Watched Madras Café in a packed hall.Shoojit Le Carre Sircar deserves a shabaash.Yes,its controversial. That’s why it works.”

Says Srijana Mitra Das ,TOI, “Madras Cafe dives boldly into terrain Bollywood hasn’t touched before. Its arsenal features research, respect and bravely, no songs. Madras Cafe deserves an extra half-star for guts, going for the gunpowder – but with a restrained hand.”

Says Sukanya Varma,Rediff, “ Madras Cafe is a swift, smart and serious study of an inglorious chapter of history. Madras Cafe deserves an audience. After experiencing back-to-back idiocy on big screen, it’s refreshing to return to the theatres for a film that expects you to be educated, informed and attentive.”
“Madras Cafe is a sinewy and riveting espionage thriller that entertains without having to play to the gallery. Madras Cafe is not your average Bollywood thriller. It crackles with genuine energy and is marked by true empathy for humanity. It is an unqualified triumph.”adds Saibal Chatterjee NDTV

Rajeev Masand says , “Unlike in the West, it’s hard to make films on real-life historical events in India. Political pressures and sensitive groups invariably throw a spanner in the works. Which is why it’s commendable what director Shoojit Sircar has undertaken with ‘Madras Cafe.steers clear of typical Bollywood machismo and avoids oversimplifying characters or their motives, the film – at a little over two hours – is a compelling watch.”

Presented by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and JA Entertainment and produced by Rising Sun Films and JA Entertainment , Madras Cafe ,directed by Shoojit Sircar hit theaters yesterday ,23rd August 2013
