Mumbai, Aug 23, 2013: The most sought after inter-school cultural & literary competition of the year- Horlicks Wizkids by Krayon is back with a bang. Horlicks Wizkids – the largest interschool fiesta running across India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, is now bigger and better. With the Mumbai finals culminating with much fanfare, Ankita Mishra from Gokuldham High School and Khushali Dodia from Queen Mary School emerged as the winners who will represent their city at the Horlicks Wizkids South Asia Finals in November 2013. The winners of Horlicks Wizkids South Asia 2013 winners will earn scholarships worth Rs 1,00,000 lakh and a 5 day educational trip to Germany

The city finals round in Mumbai witnessed an overwhelming response from schools and children across the city with close to 2800 students from more than 45 schools participating. The Bhaidas Hall was packed with students cheering for their teams showcasing their talents on the stage.

With Horlicks Wizkids in its 11th year, this unique competition is now a part of the co-scholastic curriculum prescribed by the National Curriculum Framework 2005 and is graded in every students’ school performance. It is one of the most sought after student engagement experience bringing all the students from various schools of a city under one roof, thus enhancing their social interaction and cooperation skills as well.

Commenting on the kick-off this year, Jayant Singh, EVP, Marketing, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare India said, “Horlicks as a nourisher and nurturer aims to strive for an all-round growth and development for children. With more than 30 events in the field of arts, literature, painting, extra-curricular activities are being hosted by Krayon, Horlicks Wizkids is South Asia’s largest interschool fiesta for students from class 1 to 12. Along with this Horlicks Wizkids also has an online competition Iwiz running on Facebook. This year some other new elements are live updates and online competitions on Twitter. Pinterest will also be used for photo trending purposes. A dedicated YouTube channel is created to host all the videos from Horlicks Wizkids. In addition to the existing competition, a unique feature of Horlicks Wizkids this year will be the Shadow Campaign which invites students from non-host cities to be a part of the competition and get a chance to present their talent.

STORY

It feels very sad to witness some films that are Good, Well-Made and Message oriented. But get’s release without proper promotions or hammering. Salim Raza’s Haunted Child is one such example. The best part of this movie (which literally moves you) is it talks about Girl Child Killing. According to me, From Celebrity to a Common Man to an entire Nation, Every one are talking about Save The Girl Child effort. But how many of us are seriously taking any stands?

Haunted Child tells the story of Tanya who hails from a small town. She comes to city to become a model. She befriends with Deepak who is a Fashion Photographer. Tanya fall in love with him and she gets pregnant. Deepak’s house owner Mannisha wants adopt Tanya’s child. There for she takes Tanya to a lonely place where Tanya can easily give birth to a child without any hassle. Tanya delivers baby girl. All hell break loose when the new born girl get’s killed.

The Girl Child soul comes back for her Revenge.

STARCACT

There is not much to talk about the performances of Actors. All the actors in the film have performed very well. Such films must be judged on the merit of the content. And the content of the film is very strong and powerful.

Direction / Music / Lyrics /Editing / Camera:

Salim Raza has written and directed the film. With the given budget, Salim Raza does full justice to the script and churns out a decent Horror flick which also gives you a hard hitting social message. The production value and camera work of the film is very decent. I somehow found the music part very irritating. The background score of the film is good. Especially at creating the chilling atmosphere.

I will definitely recommend Haunted Child for the strong message which hits right inside your heart. Do give this film a view.

COLORS unveils the first look of its espionage series 24 presented by Tata Safari Storme

MUMBAI, August 22, 2013: In a 24 hour journey, when time is running out, when your loved ones are in danger, where do you go…who do you turn to…what do you choose? It is a race against time, where every second counts. Slated for an October launch, COLORS today showcased the first look of the highly anticipated trailer of its upcoming espionage series – 24, starring Anil Kapoor as ATU Chief Jai Singh Rathod at a suburban theatre in Mumbai. For the first time ever on Indian television, a theatrical trailer launch of a television series has been conducted. The action-packed trailer that was unveiled today offered a breathtaking glimpse of the thrilling show evoking feelings of patriotism leaving everybody on the edge of their seats.

With a story about this ATU Chief and his race against time, COLORS promises viewers world-class quality in entertainment. With a unique real-time narration where a fictional story is told in a real world setting, in real time, viewers will be connected to every hour of Jai Singh Rathod’s battle against time. 24 will introduce the Indian audiences to a new hybrid genre of entertainment that sees an interesting amalgamation of fiction and reality.

The trailer establishes the formation of the ATU spearheaded by ATU Chief Jai Singh Rathod and the challenges that are thrown at the team with the growing threats to the nation. It then draws attention to a threat to the life of prime-ministerial candidate Aditya Singhania (Neil Bhoopalam). It is now ATU Chief’s and his trusted team’s responsibility to protect him. The trailer that flashes through several key sequences of a thrill-fest shows Jai Singh Rathod racing against time, where he is torn between the love for his family and his duty towards his country.

The trailer of 24 also reveals some of the key characters in the show playing pivotal roles and gives viewers a sneak-peak into the fast-paced, edgy, gritty and gripping drama.
