” Content is the King ” says Shadab Kamal of BA Pass film’ hero.

This has been a good year for Shadab Kamal, with a string of noticeable performances. After beginning with Ba Pass film, the actor says he is euphoric. It’s overwhelming when people from the industry and across the world say how touched they are by your performances. It’s very fulfilling to know that they are happy with the portrayal. After earning acclaim and appreciation from the audience , many interesting offers are coming.

Regarding Ba Pass he says, ” The screenplay pushes the story to its limits, never hesitating to go the distances. Sometimes its predictable, and other times it is surprised with its moxie. There is plenty of unabashed sex and mercifully its not always awkward given the cringe inducing standard of our cinema.Ajay Bhal (director) has also shot the film beautifully with unhurried camera movements and remarkable lighting. I have the right balance of innocence and charm and Shilpa Shukla balances her qualities with her bewitching act albeit in monotone.Ba Pass a first film by Ajay Bahl adapted from Mohan Sikka’s The Railway Aunty, a short story.”

Excerpts from an interview with Shadab Kamal:

What is your background as an actor?

I hail basically from Calcutta and have been in Mumbai for the last one year. I did Seven years of rigorous theater and was also part of many plays over there. I did not want to take up offers from TV serials makers
though there were tempting offers and decided to wait till I got a good launch pad like Ba Pass.I survived because my family supported me a lot.

How would you describe your debut film Ba Pass?

My debut film as an actor Ba Pass has many shades. The film is about the intense relationship between a small town boy anda married woman named Sarika. It is going to make us understand the value of genuine love.

The movie talks about how growing up is either about finding yourself or getting lost.

What about the subject of this film?

keeping in mind, the bold subject of the film, there are quite a few intimate scenes, but I wasn’t nervous shooting for them. My director Ajay Bahl ensured I was comfortable, While the scenes were being shot

But not once did I feel nervous. There was a lot of respect and integrity. It took two years to be made.

What responses have you got?

Feedback have been overwhelming positive. There ‘ve been hugely positive responses.

What is the USP of this film?

The content is the king

How tough was it for you to get into the skin of your character in the film?

It was not tough for me to get into the skin of my character as Mukesh in the film because Ajay Bahl who has written the script is very close to me and hence I could easily interpret the role according to what he had conceived it.

I was overwhelmed he told me that he had actually seen me as Mukesh even while he was writing the subject. It was only after I was auditioned for this role.

If Ajay Bhal had wanted , he could have easily cast any big star in your role?

He needed a new face who does not have any kind of identity. He argued that if casts a big star in the role of Mukesh, the audience would identify with him first and foremost as who the star is and only than as the character of Mukesh.

How did you prepare for your part?

I know that no amount of biceps or abs will be able to make you an actor. It is only if you know what acting is, that you can survive in the film industry. To suit the role, I had to reduce my weight and add a North Indian accent since

my body language is basically quite different from that of Mukesh.

How did your family react to this film?

They are very supportive and very happy.

What is your USP?

I am far more versatile than I’m allowed to be which is great because I always have something new to offer.

While casting for the role of an international war journalist ,the makers of Madras Cafe were looking for an actress with global appeal ,not to mention, the spunk required to pull off the role and they looked no further than Nargis Fahkri, who shot to fame with her debut in Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar.

While the actress is popularly spoken about for her unique look and screen presence, director Shoojit Sircar promises to introduce to audiences a new facet of the actress ,that is sure to take them by surprise.

I have already worked with her in a commercial much before Rockstar . Imtiaz Ali took her in his film after watching that commercial. When I met her and told her about this role, she was sceptical and asked me whether I was sure of casting her. I think half the work is done if the casting is right.”

Hrithik Roshan talks about his different Looks

Hrithik Roshan cant wait to unveil the first look of Krrish 3.

The First look of Krrish is going to be unveiled today.
Portraying as many as three strikingly different looks, Hrithik says the journey has been a fairly challenging one. “The Rohit look was very difficult to attain. Koi Mil Gaya released in 2003, so we needed the character to look aged.” Like Amitabh Bachchan in Paa, Hrithik spent nearly four and half hours to get ready for those scenes with a prosthetic expert. “Mike Stringer (best known for Lord of the Rings trilogy) was flown in to do the makeup and prosthetics. He was present for two schedules,” he says.
, Hrithik and Stringer, tried out several looks before they took a final call. “Rohit’s character will continue to have child like qualities, but he will also look like a father (to Krishna). Ï had to balance that out. And importantly, that character wants to make everyone around him happy. So that element had to be retained,” Hrithik says. Since the prosthetics had to be done on-set, Hrithik would report for work five hours in advance. On the other hand, Krishna, who is seen as Rohit’s son, didn’t need any make-up whatsoever.
the Superhero mask “The mask which is based on Krishna’s chakra is a slightly enhanced version of the original,” explains the actor, who has recently finished the film’s dubbing. “I had to modulate my voice in three different styles, but the final product looks pretty good,” he concludes.
