Rejuvenate your skin and hair this monsoons with Richfeel

Mumbai: May, 2013: Monsoon season is that time of the year again when you’ll find yourself grumbling about having bad hair days, hair loss and many skin problems. The rains simply spell disaster for your mane, as they turn your hair frizzy, scalp greasy and result in hair fall and dead skin cells. Richfeel introduces Monsoon care products to help you manage monsoon effects.

The excessive amount of moisture in the weather makes the hair dull flat and tangled. Therefore this is the most crucial time for you to have a thorough hair care regimen for the gentle and effective care of your hair. Richfeel’s Oils for Hair loss, like Rosemary essential oil, Cedar wood, Lavender essential oil, & Grape seed oil help to improve hair growth and strengthen hair by stimulating the hair follicles. Dry, rough and frizzy hair can also benefit from the use of these oils as it smoothes the hair cuticles, sealing in the moisture and making each hair strand strong. You can apply it on the hair & scalp massage in circular motion. Keep it overnight & wash it with Richfeel Scalp Cleanser. Alternate Night application is beneficial.

Certain scalp diseases become more prevalent in the monsoon exposure to dirty rainwater and consequent warm, humid conditions encourage the growth of bacteria and fungi on the scalp. Brahmi Hair Pack by Richfeel will restore the lost nutrients to give you great hair. Brahmi can be a treatment for hair loss. Because of the herb’s antioxidant properties, Brahmi allows proper nourishment to reach hair roots and promote growth and can prevent hair splitting at the ends and hair discoloration.

The humidity during monsoons makes dry skin, flaky and itchy; while oily skin becomes clogged and prone to breakouts. Richfeel Fruit packs like Strawberry extracts, Multani mitti masks and Kaolin. Richfeel Fruit pack is enriched with the goodness of fruits & is a special formulation for sensitive skin which helps remove the dead cells from the surface of the skin & helps stimulate production of new cells. Mix the Richfeel Fruit pack powder with some clean water & make a thin consistency paste of it. Now apply the paste evenly on face & neck gently (avoiding the eye area) to form a layer. Once you have applied the mask do not make any facial expressions and relax with eyes closed. After 10- 15mins remove mask gently with the help of cotton ball or sponge. Never rub your skin while removing the mask and apply Richfeel Moisturizer to keep skin hydrated & fresh looking.

With summer’s passing by, you might be tempted to pack away the sunscreen and moisturizers and other daily skin and hair care that you were following. It is important to keep your beauty glowing by using the right products with the correct combinations.

Amy Billimoria Studio in plush suburban area showcases exquisite gowns to lehengas & Bridal wear designed by the pretty looking designer gives you reasons to don the glamorous look this monsoon!

Monsoon is the season when neither makeup stays on neither looks, buy fashion can stay if you know how to make it stay, says designer Amy Billimoria who believes different seasons gives you a reason to don a different look.

Amy gives a quick brief summary, a fashion mantra to don the best look this monsoon.

Funky Rain Gear: Sport Bright neon colored hi-fashion raincoats, wind heaters and umbrellas and stay hip and dry in the monsoons.

White is an absolute NO-NO throughout this season – Wear bright colors, polkas or prints in yellows, hot pinks , lime greens and reds to keep upbeat in the stormy weather … Going contrast to the otherwise dull grey and somber look of the environment around

Stay Short: Wear Capris, short knee length dresses and shorts to stay dry and comfortable. Avoid flare, stay more form fitted and close to the body look!

Fabrics – Wear fabrics with a polyester viscose blend that dry easily and are less maintenance during the monsoons!

Accessories – Plastic Accessories are best during this season. Create the Oomph with waterproof bags and belts

Footwear- A definite must have is good footwear to stay stylish… I strongly recommend the new range of Crocs they have amazing styles right from the day to the corporate to the Club wear look

Hair Care: A very important factor is to maintain the Good Hair day everyday… So make sure you use mild conditioners, take regular hair spas and oil massages to avoid dry scalps and frizzy hair

Sans Make-up – Also stay away from heavy makeup… Choose waterproof foundations, mascaras and eyeliners to keep your best face forward

Karan Johar is all ready to play the antagonist opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet.

Director, producer, writer, chat show host, reality dance show judge: Karan Johar’s CV could rival that of the very best in showbiz. But the one thing the 41-year-old hasn’t done — a few cameos aside — is take up a serious acting role. Now, that is set to change.

Three days back, Karan decided to take up an offer to act in Anurag Kashyap’s next, Bombay Velvet (BV). Karan says the offer “came out of the blue”. In the film, he will be seen playing the “antagonist” opposite Ranbir Kapoor.

“Yes, it’s true that I’m acting in Bombay Velvet, and of course, it’s unusual for me,” Karan says, adding, “I was blown away by the narrative. And all the cast members — besides Ranbir and Anushka (Sharma, lead actress) — have strong roles in Anurag’s film. Since I’m playing an antagonist, there are shades of grey to my character.”

Over a decade-and-ahalf ago, Karan played a cameo in the Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol-starrer Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995). More recently, he made guest appearances in films like Om Shanti Om (2007) and Luck By Chance (2009).

But what’s interesting is that now the director of feel-good, family-oriented dramas will be seen in a negative role. Karan explains, “I’ve never shied away from trying new things. Fifteen years ago, I took up direction (with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai; 1998) on an impulse, followed by my stint as a TV show host (Koffee With Karan).”

He says he always knew that, somewhere down the line, acting will happen. “I didn’t know whether I was ready for it. Now, I will start working on my role with Anurag. I will follow his directorial vision, and I won’t bring my director’s baggage on the sets,” he clarifies.

Has he discussed this with anyone else? “Besides Anurag, Ranbir too was keen that I come on board. As for my mother (Hiroo Johar), she has always been encouraging in whatever I do,” he says.

When contacted, Anurag says, “Karan is fantastic for the part. I actually wanted to bounce ideas off him. He loved the script, and I suddenly asked if he will play the role. He was surprised, but said yes. Karan said he will charge R11, and the money kept aside will go for special effects and production.”

Canada based Heart specialist Anmol Kapoor who having produced documentaries, feature films is producing Patiala Dreamz, a Punjabi Film with the international touch.

Patiala Dreamz which is a Bollywood test as Anmol Kapoor claims is a project he has given his heart & soul too. With a thought that the best way to educate communities globally would be the most sought after Entertainment Industry.

Anmol Kapoor who intends to educate the South Asian communities India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh & he is of the opinion that a community helps community.

Patiala Dreamz is not just a typecast Punjabi film, having renowned Punjabi actors, the movie is backed by Bollywood artistes & singers & a Bollywood production house is involved. Anmol Kapoor with the larger picture of his movie Patiala Dreamz mentions, “Patiala Dreamz will be dubbed in many languages, I’m not looking towards marketing only in the South Asian nations but also Russia where I got my medical degree from, Germany, Holland & USA.”

Talking on the marketing front Doctor cum Producer further adds, “Punjabis are omnipresent & moreover I have a tie up with many media associations in Canada who are our active partners in supporting & promoting the film keeping the core message intact of helping our community.”

We say thumps up to this producer who is a social worker in the true sense. He answers our modest question as to why the proceeds entirely be given to the NGOs, he explains, “In Canada the Govt. take care of all the medical treatment anyway & I don’t plan to buy aPorche or a Ferrari. Here I have taken Bollywood as a social project. I have put my heart & soul & I am working towards the finished project to be the best & entertaining though.”

Talking about Patiala Dreamz he summarizes, “This movie is not a regional but a part of Bollywood. It is entertaining, holds the grip & emphasized on the connection between the east & west.”

Rakul Preet to debut in Bollywood with Yaariyaan

The glamorous industry of Bollywood owes a lot to the Miss India pageant; a talent house which has produced some of the biggest film stars. The names include Nutan, Zeenat Aman, Juhi Chawla, Meenakshi Seshadri, Sushmita Sen, Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Chopra.

And now another Miss India participant Rakul Preet is all set to enter the glittering world with Yaariyaan; the directorial debut of T-Series’ head honcho Bhushan Kumar’s wife Divya Kumar.

“Yaariyaan is about five college friends and I play a nerd in the film. One who is very good with numbers,” quips the leading lady. The character is quite of her liking, as the tall and lissome Rakul is a mathematics graduate, who has studied financial management.

Moreover, like many previous beauty pageant winners, she comes from a family background of the Indian Army. Rakul won various titles in the Miss India pageant of 2011. She bagged Miss India People’s Choice, Miss Beautiful Eyes, Miss Beautiful Smile, Miss Fresh Face, Miss Talented and emerged the third runner-up finalist.

Soon after, she participated in Miss Tourism in China and rose to the sixth position in the international pageant. But that’s not all to her Libran multi-faceted personality! Apart from Hindi, English and Punjabi, the gal has now learnt to speak Tamil and Telugu and also acted in Southern hits.

Her die-hard interests include horse riding, Bharatanatyam, and hold your breath; golf too. Now, now! How many Bollywood actresses would have engaged in playing golf! But if you think, that’s enough for Rakul, you are mistaken!

The girl is a fitness freak with gymming and swimming being her daily addictions. She’s a Blue Belt in Karate, plays cricket, basket ball and even lawn tennis! And wait, did we tell you, she’s particularly proud of her 36-24-36 figure! Ooh la la!
