Ekta Kapoor signs on 1920-The Evil Returns director Bhushan Patel for Sunny Leone starrer Ragini MMS-2

Bhushan Patel who made his directorial debut with Vikram Bhatt’s 1920: The Evil Returns has impressed the industry. In fact, so impressed is producer Ekta Kapoor, that she has now signed him to take the popular Ragini MMS franchise forward.

Says Tanuj Garg, CEO of Balaji Motion Pictures, “What started off as a humble experimental film has turned into a franchise calledRagini MMS. We liked the promos of 1920: The Evil Returns and took a leap of faith in signing Bhushan. Given the film’s impressive box office performance, it has proven to be the right decision.”

If sources are to be believed the Balaji team was floored as soon as the promos of 1920-The Evil Returns hit the airwaves and being the visionary that she is signed Bhushan Patel (who is mentored by Vikram Bhatt) to direct the sequel of the 2011 sleeper hit, starring the sensational Sunny Leone.

Says Bhushan Patel, “To add to the excitement of a hit debut film, is the opportunity of directing another hit franchise, Ragini MMS-2, for the Balaji banner. I’m looking forward to it.”

The film is expected to go into production in January 2013.

Episodic Synopsis – Day 30

Sidhu’s ‘Sena’ gets ready for a battle

The housemates wake up to an alarming siren early in the morning at about 5:00 am. Major Saab leads his ‘sena’ and makes them march around the garden area. The housemates are in their PT uniform as they go through the assigned morning drill. After the March past, Vrajesh apologizes to all the housemates for revolting against everyone and explains that he is rather compelled to do it. Sidhu, Rajev and Mink are seen discussing about Vrajesh and how he always wants to do things his way. After sometime, Sidhu calls for ‘kushti’ as the day’s next physical activity. Rajev wrestles Niketan and Mink wrestles Sana. Sidhu announces the winners in front of everyone.

Sidhu, Niketan and Mink are also seen talking about Vrajesh’s arrogant attitude towards the task. Sidhu is then called in by Bigg Boss and asked to choose his favorite three commandos. Mink and Rajev get into an argument in the boys room. Mink gets pissed with Rajev as he keeps asking about the outside world’s opinions regarding the fights etc that happen in the house. Mink gets upset and tells him to stop asking such questions as she feels it puts her in a bad spot(like she is here to create fight). A puzzled Rajev and Urvashi look at this and discuss the same with Sidhu. Mink on the other side walks out and starts crying as she misses her brother. Vrjeash comes to console her. Aashka retaliates to this and tells him to stay away from her and the others as according to Sidhu’s punishment for him, he is not supposed to interact with anyone.

Vrajesh gets cheesed off by Aashka’s comment and tells her to stay out of the task as she is the captain (who never gets involved). Aashka starts shouting at Vrajesh as she doesn’t like the way he tells her to stay away. Aashka complains to Sidhu about this and Sidhu punishes Vrajesh to sit by the aquarium till the night on a mattress in the garden area away from all the housemates. After sometime, Bigg Boss calls the housemates in the living area and sends in a task letter. Sidhu & Vrajesh are divided into two teams versus each other. Sidhu’s chosen three are Niketan, Urvashi & Rajev. Vrajesh is the opposition leader and his team comprises of Delnaaz, Mink, Sana & Sapna. Their motive is to applu ‘gullaal’ on the Major’s face. The task only gets more interesting as the cold war between Sidhu and Vrajesh comes alive.

Sidhu’s team captures the washroom area and wraps his face with a big scarf for protection. In sometime, Sidhu and his team occupy the flower bedroom and Vrajesh and his team occupy the other bedroom. The two teams start taunting and goading with each other as the rebel army (Vrajesh) and Sidhu’s team exchange lots of words and actions across the glass that separates them. Vrajesh’s team tries to break into Sidhu’s room forcefully. Rajev and Niketan come out and distract the rebels. Niketan even picks Vrajesh up in his arms and puts him in the couch. Rajev comes to all the girls and starts irritating them so that they move away.

Delnaaz explains her disgust with Rajev getting physical with her teammates to Niketan. In a while, Vrajesh is seen talking to Aashka and Delnaaz about how upset and suffocated he is in the house and that he wants to get nominated again if by any chance he survives this weekend. Vrajesh then goes to Sapna and makes a plan for the night to take Sidhu’s team down. Slowly all the housemates go to sleep with much apprehension and nervousness.

Description: C:\Users\lenovo\Desktop\dk conclave_2.png

National, Nov 6th, 2012: Every kid is unique and yet similar to their age-group in some way. They are complex and simple, approachable and distant – all at the same time. In other words, there is no blueprint to understand them. EduMedia announces Decoding Kids Conclave 2013: a first-of-its-kind initiative in India which will be an annual knowledge-sharing platform to enhance the understanding about kids amongst people who want to engage with them. This year’s theme is ‘Marketing to Kids’ and it will be held on 16th January, 2013 at The Lalit, Mumbai.

“Decoding Kids Conclave aims to answer some of the biggest whys related to the kids and how to go about effectively and responsibly engaging with them,” said Tabassum Modi, Executive Director, EduMedia India. “It will serve as a platform for those who are interested in knowing about the dynamic world of children.”

Decoding Kids Conclave will have an array of topics related to marketing to kids like research perspectives, digital marketing to kids, kids as future consumers, responsible marketing to kids, kids in advertising, rural marketing for kids products and unforgettable brand marketing campaigns to name a few. These interesting and informative sessions will be held by renowned industry experts. Some of the speakers lined up include Prahlad Kakar (Ad Guru &Founder of Genesis Films), Pradeep Kashyap (CEO, MART & President, Rural Marketing Association of India – RMAI) and Rajiv Chilaka (Creator of Chhota Bheem &Founder-Director, Green Gold Animation).

Prahlad Kakar, commenting on the initiative, said that, “I’m looking forward to the Decoding Kids Conclave as there are going to be a lot of opposing points of view about the best way to deal with kids. Kids are actually like little adults – they have complete free reign but without the sense of responsibility.” About what to expect from his session, he added “There has been a complete dark hole about kids in advertising. No research has been done about the effect of advertising on kids. There is so much subliminal content. It is content meant for adults that the kids watch – so you can imagine what impact it will have on kids!”

Pradeep Kashyap commenting on the initiative said that, “Marketers have never had a focus on rural and small town kids though their number is 4 times the number of urban kids. I will talk about this new opportunity, family budgets on kids spends, challenges in developing appropriate products and offering them at affordable prices. Decoding Kids Conclave is a much needed initiative for the marketing fraternity to collectively try and decode what kids buy, who decides the purchase, other influencers and where do they buy. I compliment the organizers for taking this very timely initiative”

Decoding Kids Conclave will witness huge participation from brand managers & developers, marketing managers, product developers & innovators, advertising agencies, event agencies, PR professionals, researchers, entrepreneurs targeting kids, TV Professionals and other professionals working in the kids segment.
