Does this mean that prime time television will cease to exist? While this is not imminent, Ditto TV usage patterns bring to light what the urban, mobile Indian consumer is increasingly looking for to meet his infotainment needs when on the go. This report, to be followed by a quarterly publication of such user trends, is welcome in a space where no similar findings currently exist. With the burgeoning Indian mobile population increasingly warming up to OTT content, advertisers and media planners might want to redesign their strategies to focus their attention on consumers who seem to be moving away from traditional TV viewing.

Eros International & NextGen Films Table No. 21 holds steady

Eros International & NextGen Films ‘thriller Table No.21 opened to encouraging box office figures, despite competition from 3 other releases. Not to mention ,the Indo-Pak cricket match and the ongoing cold wave in the North.

While the film’s weekend collection stood at Rs. 5.7 crore, it held steady on Monday raking in Rs. 1.2 crore and 1.00 crore on Tuesday thanks to positive word of mouth.

Rajeev Khandelwal says, “I am very happy that a content driven film has worked. The film managed to get a proper release and has pulled in the appreciation and the collections as well. I am glad that the producers had the courage and the conviction in the project and the results are encouraging.”

The Mahindra Youth Football Challenge comprises of 6 cities, 192 schools & more than 3000 footballers across the top 6 centres which have a footballing culture embedded in them.

The main objective of the Mahindra Youth Football Challenge is to provide a stage for talented youngsters to showcase their talent & spotting the talent at an age where they can still be nurtured & developed into professional footballers.

An added advantage is the talented players proving their worth to the Celtic FC coaches, who work closely with us stand a good chance to get noticed and have their shot on European football.

Only Punjabi films on Jimmy’s mind?

The Shah Rukh Khan of Punjabi films as he is acknowledged; the cute faced Jimmy Sheirgill as we fondly know him is slowly diverting himself towards production field.

It is very common sight in film industry that if one quits doing a thing then he might try out another, an actor becoming director or a director producing a film, so on and so forth. Jimmy too is following the trend and has got himself a parallel career of that of a producer. In the past Jimmy has produced Dharti and Taur Mittran di. A soon to release Punjabi flick Saadi Love story too will be a product of his production house. But as it is seen he adheres only to Punjabi films. Jimmy, who started his career with Maachis, went on to become a chocolate boy from Mohabbatein and now has film’s like A Wednesday! , Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster to his credit. In spite of being majorly active in Bollywood producing movies only in Punjabi seems like partial on part of the actor, now, doesn’t it? And now that Jimmy is turned a full time Producer will he retract from the field of acting?

Saadi Love story produced by Eros International and Jimmy Sheirgill Productions is slated for release on 11th of January. We wish Jimmy all the best with this new venture hoping that he diverts his attention towards producing Hindi cinema as well.
