Mumbai, April 2, 2013: Producers Ameesha Patel and Kuunal Goomer under Ameesha Patel Productions unveiled the concept, characters and theme of their maiden venture “Desi Magic” at a never seen before, one of its kind curtain raiser event at Hype on April 2, 2013. The film will be directed by Mehul Atha

Speaking on the occasion, Business Partner Kuunal Goomer, said, “The idea of this curtain raiser was to present our maiden venture in a very unique style like never before. Desi Magic is an extremely positive and entertaining film for all the sections of the society. We hope to start the shooting schedule soon and plan to release the film by October – November this year.”

The cast and crew of the film are extremely real and the fitment was to the T. The cast includes Ameesha Patel in a never seen before double role, Zayed Khan, Rajat Kapoor, Ravi Kishen, Sahil Shroff and veteran actor Randhir Kapoor.

“I am sure we will give the audiences something entertaining with our film. I am excited to be playing a double role in the film for the first time ever. After many days the audiences will get to see the double role concept in a modern fashion. The film is very contemporary, youth & colourful. Basically it has all the ingredients of a wholesome entertainer especially my characters.” Ameesha Patel ends with a magical note.

Director/Choreographer Farah Khan launches the “Sirf Dekhneka Nahi” campaign for I P L 2013.

Max, the exclusive broadcaster of the Indian Premier League, announced its new marketing campaign for the Pepsi IPL 2013 called “Sirf Dekhneka Nahi” and has roped in director-choreographer Farah Khan as the face of the campaign.

Farah Khan will establish three unique signature dance moves for the campaign, namely for a four, a six and a wicket.The campaign also sees Farah encourage audiences to let go of their inhibitions and groove to the official jingle composed and sung by Vishal-Shekhar titled “Jumping Jhapak”.

If that wasn’t all, the campaign features three dance instruction videos and one film, all featuring Farah Khan. These three shorts will showcase women, working professionals , families and the likes celebrating the IPL together with Farah teaching them the steps.

Says Farah Khan, “I am extremely excited to associate with MAX for their marketing campaign. Bollywood actress Kesha’s Telugu film Shadow to release mid-April

Bollywood model and actress Kesha Khambhati is thrilled at the release of her Telugu film Shadow starring superstar Venkatesh, Srikanth, Aditya Pancholi, Mukesh Rishi, Adithya Menon, Jaya Prakash Reddy, Tapsee, Madhurima, Nassar, Naga Babu, M.S. Narayana, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, Srinivasa Reddy, Prabhu, Surya and Uttej. Shadow is directed by Meher Ramesh and produced by Paruchuri Kireeti under the United Movies banner. The film is scheduled to be released on April 11, 2013, say trade media reports. The film was shot in Malayasia, Hyderabad and a small part in Mumbai and is a thriller movie. Telugu super star Venkatesh plays the role of a don in the film which was shot over a period of about one year. The film features four item songs or tracks and the title track is picturised on Kesha who is elated at the film’s forthcoming release.

Kesha who was born in Surat, Gujarat has acted in 3 other films which are in the process of being released besides doing innumerable TV ads and print shoots. Her hobbies include dancing, driving and cooking when she has free time. She has signed on two more projects, one of which goes on floor this week.

Winner of ‘Cricket Star’ – Kumar Boresa, joins the Rajasthan Royals team!

Royals give Cricket Star Rajasthan winner, 18-yr-old Kumar Boresa, an IPL contract

Jaipur, 04 April 2013: Rajasthan Royals today awarded an IPL contract to Kumar Boresa, winner of the ‘Cricket Star Rajasthan 2012’ – a talent hunt presented by Rajasthan Royals and Dainik Bhaskar and sponsored by Sanskar School to unearth the hidden cricketing talent in Rajasthan. 18-year-old Kumar who won the contest in 2012, has signed a contract with the Rajasthan Royals worth Rs 10 lakh, and will don the royal blue jersey in the IPL 2013.

The cricket star programme was organized in Rajasthan from September to November last year. The programme included an SMS-based application system following which the applicants were tested on various skills in the centres of Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur by RR Coach Monty Desai and other appointed talent scouts. The top candidates from all these centres were called to Jaipur at the Sanskar School grounds for the Cricket Star Academy and after 3 days of matches, Kumar Boresa from Pali was chosen as ‘Cricket Star Rajasthan’ winner for his fine spin bowling, all-round skills, discipline, enthusiasm and fair play.

While initially the grand prize was an internship with the Royals, the young lad impressed all which prompted the team management to upgrade his internship to a full IPL contract with Rajasthan Royals.

Left-arm spinner – Boresa, who plays for Pali District Cricket Association, has represented Rajasthan U-16 team in the Vijay Merchant Trophy in 2009 and 2010. The Class 10 student has also led the Stanford School team in many districts and state-level tournaments.

“I used to see the big players on television and never imagined I would get a chance to meet them or practice with them. It is an unforgettable moment for me, my family and my seniors who have always supported and helped me excel in cricket. I am grateful to Rajasthan Royals for giving such an opportunity,” Boresa said.

Raghu Iyer, CEO, Rajasthan Royals, said, “With the cricket star programme, we are looking to find and promote talent in Rajasthan and provide an opportunity for the youth to showcase their skills. We were mighty impressed with the talent that Kumar displayed during the ‘Cricket Star Rajasthan’ programme, and we are all very excited about presenting him in the upcoming IPL season.”
